My name is Patrick and I've had a relationship with Zyzyx since 2001 and I've never had any problems with this establishment. I am a loyal customer and have purchased well over $20,000.00 worth of very unique and one of kind pieces. I have purchased a several vases there which range from cost $3,800.00 to $5,000.00 and the artist (Gundi) who designed them wanted to use the most recent vase I purchased there in a photo shoot for a magazine article that she was being featureed in. when I went to pick it up from Zyzyx, it was gone. The store offered to loan me a $25,000.00 piece for the weekend until they got my piece back from the artist. I refused to take it home which was $22,000.00 more than the vase I had purchased that day and was there to pick up to take home before my guests arrived at my home. Zyzyx has been nothing but friendly. Especially Jerry. She's a great person. As far as being snooty, I've not experienced that there from day one I walked in there which was different from my other experiences with Jewish people who own other stores in that area.

The prices are high but if you have to complain then you shouldn't go there. The pieces they carry you're not going to see in sombody else's home because they usually carry one of most pieces and they'll give you an appraisal for what you buy FREE. They don't pressure you and they DON'T work on comission. I've introduced some of my friends to Zyzyx & they love it because possess an appreciation for the finer things of life though we're not wealthy. I also do the same for you. Go there and look at all of the wonderful unique pieces they offer. Tell them that Patrick sent you!

Cons: Congested Parking Lot

This store has very unique items at a high price so make sure you love it cause you can only get store credit if you want to return it. The service is OK but often seems a bit snooty.

My husband and I went here based on a friend's recommendation to look for a menorah for Hanukkah last year. The collection is really impressive and very expensive for the most part. It was very hard to find something we liked for under $200! For something that sits out for at most 2 weeks, that was a lot to pay. I highly recommend just going there to browse their selection. The people were very helpful and I felt like if we were to invest in one, we would do it from here.

If you don't know what a tchotchke is, well, go to Zyzyx and you'll understand! They sell lots of little artsy crafty things, stuff to hand on walls, ornaments, things to sit on a shelf, and so on. Plus lots of nice jewelry. I bought something here for a girlfriend once, for about $60. More expensive stuff is definitely available, too. It's the sort of place you'd think you wouldn't want to take your kids to, because so much breakable stuff is all around. But actually, they have a little section of the store with kid's stuff, where they can sit and be entertained while you shop.

Zyzyx is a wonderful place to for unique gifts, especially if you are looking for something Judaic. They have a variety of gift items including jewelry, candle holders, art work and more. Their items range in price from affordable to expensive, so you can find items in any price range. I particularly love Zyzyx because they handmade merchandise and items from local artists. Zyzyx is especially great if you like modern styles and funky designs.

The only negative is that the store is crowded and sometimes hard to move around in!

PROS: wide variety of items, styles and prices
CONS:
