Frederick Athletic Club

My son loves the child care at frederick athletic club. He cant wait to go to the gym which makes it really easy for me to get my workout in. Great Classes!

Great Equipment , very impressed with the lay out and equipment , been a member several months now and they seem to always be adding something new . The staff is helpful and the Body Pump class taught by Melissa is awesome .

I took advantage of a free pass and enjoyed the club. When I sat down to talk with the sales person and offered to pay the one year membership contract with cash, they refused to accept it.
He said that they will only accept monthly electronic bank transfers. This makes me a very doubtful I will join, since it seems this health club don't seem very honest from the reviews here and that the Better Business Bureaus has several more poor reviews.

FAC is utd with all equipment but you are trained on none of it unless you use your free hour with the pt to do this. Also, it is very difficult to get out of the contract after the initial year is up. It does renew itself. Read the contract very carefully and ask questions! Cancellation notices go to PO Box and the managers state they are not responsible for improper mail handling. Which means if it isn't certified and signed by one of them (duh, it's a po box on the other side of town) they continue to bill you and threaten to initiate collections and take legal action if you stop payment! I'm paying 6 months after canceling Also please know this is a commission based business.

Read what the Better Business Bureau thinks before signing a contract! (http://www.baltimore.bbb.org/nis/newsearch2.asp?ID=1&ComID=0011000023011615) Like many I have experienced difficulties canceling my contract after a year. The BBB recommend I file a complaint with the States Attorney.

i was given a couple of free passes to this gym and i am definately thinking about joining. the equipment is up to date and first rate and the staff is very friendly and helpful without being pushy. i went in at 5:30 a.m. and the receptionist was extremely cheerful and helpful. i give this establishment a thumbs up!!
