Manning Donya - Doctors' Visionworks

My vision insurance requires us to use this store for our eye glasses. I was used to going to Lenscrafters and I wasn't sure I was going to be happy. Just to compare, I went to Lenscrafters and picked out a few frames I thought I might like. I wrote down the style names and numbers and then I went to Doctors Visionworks to see if I would find anything similar. To my surprise, I found the same exact frames for lower prices! This was important because my insurance only pays a set amount and I have to pay anything over that out of pocket. I like the convenience of being able to get an eye exam right there. Sometimes they'll take a walk-in for an eye exam but most times you have to make an appointment. However, you usually don't have to wait more than a day or two to see the doctor. I've seen a few different doctors there, depending on when I went, but they've all been very good. They take the time and listen to your concerns without making you feel rushed out of the office. Most glasses can be made in an hour, except for special order frames like the rimless I usually buy. They often run great sales where you can get glasses and an exam for $99. I usually take advantage of those sales to buy "extra" glasses that my insurance won't pay for. The sales people are helpful without being pushy. They help you decide which glasses look best on you without trying to impose their own personal style on you. I like that.
