I just started going to Carls this year, I had gone to another place before and the lady who did my hair fried it; I ended up with a white and copper disaster! I am still trying to bring my hair back to life, its been a long on going thing to get it to be healthy, but Sophia has helped me so much. I havent been disappointed at all. I get compliments on my cut all the time, she is amazing with layers. I am still in the middle of getting my hair back to normal but Sophia has made a HUGE difference. I definitely recommend going to Carls.

I express the thoughts of the writer who called Nakisha a doctor of hair. Nakisha brought my hair back to life, after I killed it. I have natural hair and she understands what needs to be done with it and how it needs to be done. I have been to many salons in Baltimore and this is the only one that I have returned to, and repeatedly at that. I've seen Brenda's work and she seems to be equally as talented.

I will swear up and down by this place. I go to Jamie for cut and color and she knocks it out of the park every time, she is wildly creative and sweet. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is nice as well. I have never left disappointed. I highly recommend Carls.

Nakisha and Brenda are two young ladies who joined Carl's last year. I am thrilled that I found them courtesy of my two daughters who have been their clients for several years. Both are highly skilled professionals who are passionate about providing quality hair care services. They take the time to understand your needs and they do their very best to give you what you want. Both Nakisha and Brenda have a very diverse clientele to include various races and ethnicity. As an African American woman, Nakisha takes my hair to a new level. It is no longer overprocessed and has reclaimed its natural sheen and bounce. Never is the health of your hair sacrificed to achieve a color or style. In short, I call them my Doctors of Hair Care.
And, Phyllis -- the queen of shampoo and head massage -- is simply extraordinary. If you are looking for a new adventure in hair, give Nakisha and Brenda a call. The salon environment is very warm and welcoming. You won't be disappointed.

I would not recommend going to Carl Intercoiffure Incorporated for a haircut or styling. I went there one time and was made to wait an hour, even though I had an appointment. Not only that, but the stylist ended up using the wrong color on my hair and wasn't able to fix it that day because it was almost closing time. I will not go back again. The price is not worth the quality.

Carl Intercoiffure Incorporated is a high end salon in the Village of Cross Keys. I have gotten my hair cut many times by Howard, the owner. He's very brusque and quick and almost always cut my hair shorter than I wanted! I usually just got a simple cut but also got a perm or two. The staff was always rather aloof but I put up with it because Howard did a good job, even though too short. Eventually I stopped going there because I could get the same quality cut elsewhere for less.
