I felt like I had to be a babysitter...
Felt that the office and people I worked with during the estimate were some of the best in the business..... the work done in my yard was a complete disaster.

We've hired these guys a few times, and the guys who do the actual work always manage to leave a negative impression -- as if there's a disconnect between the office and the field workers. One time they came to repair some storm damage to one of the trees in our front yard, and they left gaping tire tracks through the middle of the yard. I had to call them to come back out and fill in the tracks with dirt and plant grass seed in the now-grass-free strips. (When the workers came to fix the 6-inch-deep tracks, they tried to convince me to leave them the way they were; they were confident that the compressed dirt would somehow rise back up and the grass around the tracks would grow sideways into them.) When we hired them for the job, the guy who gave us the estimate told us they'd drive on boards if it had rained recently. They didn't. Part of the same job was for them to trim certain trees. We had gotten an estimate beforehand and decided against trimming one of the trees; so we did not pay for that to be done. They trimmed it anyway and the field guys were visibly upset that they had spent time trimming that tree when they could have used the time to go to their next job.

PROS: They seem qualified to do a decent job; well trained.
CONS: You've got to keep an eye on them while they're working.
