I worked for this horrible gym in the past. Please do not blame the staff for not caring. We tried I hardest to work in a clean gym that had good working equipment and pool and hot tub. The lousy owners would not pay for anything. They hardly got us cleaning supplies. They wouldn't pay people to fix broken equipment or hot tub. We had no heat in winter or air in summer either. We had to wash our hands with cold water in the employee restroom and dry them on our pants. Our paychecks were always late and then they bounced when we did get them. This gym had alto of great employees and members and made alot of money. The owners pocketed the money and did not care about paying anyone. The reason that the last three gyms closed is because they were evicted. The WMCA didn't buy the gold's gym, they were offered it by the landlords when they kicked the Kriegers out. Most employees stayed at that job because we did like the members and kids that were there for years, we loved working with our coworkers and jobs are very hard to find these days. Please don't blame staff

CALL 410-576-7771 FOR A REFUND!!??

The Krieger Brothers (Carey and Eric) owned the Perring Parkway Gold's Gym. They still have a location in MD operating. It is the Inner Harbor Location. Anyone Remember FAHAD?? (410-576-7771) Oh, Yes he is Lying to people at the Inner HArbor Location NOW!! After hearing that this location is about to close their doors they are still trying to get people to join in full. I went in there yesterday and he didn't remember me from the Waltham Woods location and he tried to sell me a paid in full membership and told me not to worry they were BONDED in this State so If they do close I could get a full refund!!! Funny how he didn't know any of this info when they were closing the doors at Waltham Woods!!!! TAKE YOUR CONTRACT INTO THE LOCATION AND FIGHT FOR WHAT IS YOURS!!! PS Fahad will tell you that he has not seen the Krieger Brothers since the 6th of this month when they delivered the paychecks. I have confirmation that he is the Krieger Brothers Right hand MAN!!!??

This is without a doubt one of the poorest managed businesses I have ever had the displeasure of patronizing. Fahad is the manager there and he could NOT care less about anything other than collecting a paycheck. The equipment is constantly broken, the pool is dirty, the hot tub is always closed, the soap in the bathrooms is a solution of 19% dish soap 90% water, the free weights are so mis-matched and misplaced that you spend more time "hunting" than actually working out. I could go on and on...but I wont bother. This place doesnt even deserve one more second of my time. Join ANYWHERE else but here!!!

A few years ago, two friends of mine were actually present when a patron on a cardio machine collapsed & died right on the premises (this is public knowledge). The pool is usually closed due to repairs, the hot tub has been closed forever (at least one year) & they cancel classes at the last minute... then there was the arson recently which was the last straw, affecting both machines & private workout space. This place is totally ghetto, but here's hoping the YMCA or Dundalk Golds or SOMEBODY takes it over b/c it has the potential to be a great gym.

I have never stepped foot in such an amazing gym! The employees go to infinity and beyond and thats just an understatement! Their equipment takes you to your goals and beyond! If you're complaining about lousy equipment, you should really be complaining about lousy motivation to meet your fitness goals! I thought I had heard every possible excuse for being fat and out of shape, but now people will go as far as to call the gym "dirty" just to have a reason for being morbidly obese! On a scale from 1-10, 10 being the best, this gym is the shite!

Let me start out with three major concerns. They are as follows:
1. Terrible facilities
2. Pool is almost always closed due to repairs
3. Unfriendly staff.

I have been a member of a few different gyms in my area and I have to say that they are the worst. Save your money and go elsewhere.

My experience with Gold's Gym has been THE WORST GYM EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!!!! Don't make the mistake my husband and I made. DON'T JOIN THIS DUMP. The business practices are highly unethical, the staff is rude beyond belief and the facilities are cramped, filthy and outdated.

There are no polite words to say how the gym has gone down hill over the last five years. They cannot pay their bills, so the pool is not open often, staff end up quitting after they go for months with out getting a paycheck, and the equipment is not maintined. You certainly get what you pay for. In switching to Merritt, I am paying double the price (65 mo), and it is worth every penny. The staff are contineuly there, know your name and are polite. Beware if you try to leave golds..you are locked in till the end of the year...they renew on an annual basis. I guess they need to find a way to stay open...All of my friends have left and gone to the MAC, Merritt, or Brick Bodies and seem much happier. Walk the track before you join this place, they couldnt pay me to come back.

Don't join this gym if you are interested in using the pool; it's often closed and the lifeguards are frequently missing from their post. In the gym itself there is a nice variety of machines, HOWEVER, they are usually poorly maintained or down-right broken and the look of the place is generally a mess...plus I'm not sure if there's even a working air conditioning system. On the plus side, it IS one of the cheaper gyms in town...but, be warned, you get what you pay for!

My wife and I recently joined the Gold's in East Towson. We have been very dissappointed all around. We are regular gym goers, and have found it hard to stay motivated going to a dirty gym, that is often overcrowded, and when you do find a open machine it is often broken. I would say stay away if you want to enjoy your work outs. Very overpriced for what you get.

If you want to join a gym join Brick Bodies, or Merritt. The Gold's in East Towson, is dirty, the machines are broken, and don't get repaired, the classes are poor and behind the times. Not to mention that the staff are not well qualified, and they do not have one certified personal trainer working there. Don't waste your money go down the road!

We recently left Brick Bodies because we wanted to be in a more "multi-cultural" environment gym. We have since joined Gold's Gym in East Towson/Parkville and we love it there! It's more of a multi-cultural gym and very family oriented. The staff who signed us up (Andrew) was very polite and explained everything in detail. They offer a variety of classes and the childcare staff is very sufficient! I love the amount of cardio machines they have, so we never have to be on a time limit and can take our time putting 100% into our workouts!!

PROS: multi-cultural, family-oriented, and plenty of cardio machines!
CONS: currently under construction, so women's bathroom hard to get through!
