Just for something to do on a Sunday we drove to Cumberland. After strolling thru centre town we saw the "Crabby Pig" sign and followed it to one of the most pleasant luncheons. Food was great and the portions were more than enough for one person. waitress was pleasant and really enjoyed "Velvet Jones" Will I be back...u betcha. loved it!

After living in Baltimore, and having family in the Baltimore area, I have never been able to find good steamed crabs in Western Maryland. My search is over! The Crabby Pig has some of the best steamed blue crabs I have had anywhere. The first dozen I bought to take home, I thought they made a mistake and gave me a dozen and a half, the crabs were that heavy. Cooked to perfection and seasoned just right.I have also had the pulled pork, and ribs. . .two other great selections from their menu.

Happened upon the Crabby Pig driving back home after family vacation in DC area. Wanted a place within walking distance of my hotel, where I could get a beer and something more substantial than fast food and the desk clerk recommended the Crabby Pig.
Not much to look at, but we weren't looking for fine dining. Full bar--wife got a nicely proportioned margarita that was tasty, and a menu with a mix of barbecue, salads, sandwiches, and seafood, including soft shell crab.
Sat outside. The atmosphere was fun and casual. Only drawback is that on one side you are under the shadow of the highway overpass. Noise was not bad, though.
Started with crab dip. My wife and I liked it a lot. Kids, not so much (more for us).
Wife got ribs, I got the soft-shell crab platter, and my daughters split a sirloin.
Meals were all tasty. Tried wife's ribs and have to say they were excellent. Crab was very good, too. Daughters enjoyed sirloin. Sides were all cooked well and nicely seasoned.
A little pricey for a casual family meal, but overall a fun place to go on vacation. Would definitely return and sit outside in an evening--especially with a group of adult friends wanting relaxation, good food, and drinks.
Pros: Good food; friendly staff
Cons: Overpass
You can't beat the beat the place. It's like being at the ocean, but your in the mountons. It's great
Obviously a terminated employee who was useless. I own crab pig and this is nonsense. This is what happens when you terminate someone and they can't find another job, and sit home all day.
