    .

I frequent all the Home Depots in the area. I live closest to this location but when I shop at this location, I often find that they do not have the stock that the other stores have. It's probably because this location seems to be a smaller store.Example - Last year I wanted to buy plastic covers for my windows. This location was out of stock. The stock was not replenished until the next fall season. Another example - Last spring I stopped by this store to buy a filter for my air conditioning unit. The store was out of the size that I use. I checked the store periodically to see if the stock was ever replenished and it was some time later but I ended up buying the filter at the Giant.

    PROS: location
    CONS: too small, poorly stocked

Most Home Depots I have been to are very good at asking people if you need help with something. The Home Depot in Columbia MD on Snowden is just the opposite. Every time I need some assistance - I have to ask for it - sometimes beg for it. A few examples:

One time I asked an employee for help finding a particular faucet - he pointed down an aisle and said it's over there somewhere... And continued what he was doing.

Another time I needed help getting a key made - I had to get customer service to page someone and then after waiting about 20 minutes with no one showing up - I unded up leaving without my key.

The employees you do see walking around - never offer help and seem annoyed when you ask them for something. I'm not sure if it's a matter of being short staffed, or just plain rudeness. I still do go to Home Depot because it's the only hardware store near my home - but I no longer expect any kind of service when I go. As soon as the new Lowes is built near my home - I will be going there.

PROS: Close to my house, lots of selection
    CONS: Bad customer service
