They are one of the best! The Doctors have so many times taken time out of their own family's time to meet me at the clinic with a problem. They have brought many of my puppies into this world (C-Sections) and have been there with a shoulder to cry on when we have had to let them cross over. They have joked with me have cried with me. They have always been there when I have called. I am not sure what the negative people have had happen, but remember sometimes bad things happen no matter how hard you try.

This vets office is the worst I have ever dealt with!! I had to take my dog in due to throwing up constantly!!! When we got the dog to the vet we were told that she HAD THE PUPPY FLU. Yes the puppy flu! well she was severely lethargic and severely dehydrated! the next day we to take her to the Er. Vets in Frederick and it was a obstruction in her intentions!!! Very bad! Two days later we had to put her down because it went to long and she just got sicker!! I love my dog very much (like a daughter) so I was very up set that she had to be put down!! I would never recommend this vet to my worst enemy!!!

All the vets at Walkersville are terrific. I've been using this practice for my horses, dogs and cats for over 20 years now and have never had a problem. The vets and the office staff are wonderful people and exteremely competent. I would recommend any of the vets in this practice to anyone. Additionally, Dr. Griffith has been a superb addition to Walkersville Veterinary.

I do not have any idea what the first post about this vet is all about.......we have several animals and have taken them for anything from routine visits and innoculations to emergency care and putting some of our animals down due to their age and health.
I have seen all vets there, and they are professional, clean, courteous and knowledgable.
We used to go to Kingsbrook Animal Hospital and got tired of the pressure put on by the vets there to "UPSELL" vet services like they were Supersizing a Happy Meal.
If you are looking for animal care from people that care more about the animals then their pockets, then this place is for you..all the care of a country vet, that I became accustomed to growing up in central PA.

I took my dog here to be neutered. This is the vet the rescue I adopted him from used. My dog received less than adequate care. He was sent home with very few discharge instructions and a very loose sutures on his boy parts. He had to return 4 days later because of an infection. The vet looked at my dog and stated that the incision did not look good and would not heal. He sent my dog home with a few antibiotics and a gaping wound on his genitals. I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience. I have to take my dog to another vet to have the problem remedied. I will never use this vet (and I use the term loosely) again!

i have been bringing my animals to Walkersville Vet clinic for many years now. I have goats, dogs, cats, sheep, and a horse and they have provided medical care for all of my animals with the highest level of integrity, knowledge, and true caring i have ever experienced at any vet i have ever brought my animals to. Since moving to Frederick Co they are the only vet that takes care of my animals. From routine / maintenance care to emergency care they are 100% top notch!!!!

We just switched from Kingsbrook Animal Hospital to this practice on the reccomendation of a friend that takes her dogs here. Dr Griffiths is REALLY awesome. Very friendly, wonderful bedside manner and very knowledgeable. It was very easy to get an appointment. They offered me a slot for the next day after I called but wasnt able to make the appointment until a few days later. The only negative things about the practice is that it is REALLY far off the beaten path, and the decor is somewhat dated, but I would def reccomend. We were in, out, done in 20 minutes, and they do not try to push extra vaccines/testing like our previous vet did.

ETA: Its been 2 years almost since this posting and I have to say, I am more and more happy every day that we switched to Walkersville Vet Clinic. We have a VERY anxious dog that does NOT behave the best at the vet and everyone in the office is always SO understanding and patient with him, and he is in there quite a bit as he needs to be sedated to have his nails trimmed. I will NEVER go to another vet.
ETA part 2: It has now been 4 1/2 years since we've been with Walkersville and juust had to go through one of the toughest things a pet owner can face: putting a beloved pet to sleep. From his initial diagnosis of mast cell cancer in Jan, his surgery and subsequent rapid decline of health in the last week, the vets, esp Dr Griffiths and Dr. Brokaw have been amazing, from coming up with a treatment plan for him to finally putting him to sleep today, we were treated with the utmost professionalism and compassion. I don't know where these negative reviews are coming from, but please know this is NOT the standard of care at Walkersville.
