My husband went there while back to look into purchasing a new door and was told that they "only sell 'skirting' for mobile homes, needless to say he was quite upset when he returned home. Maybe it was the guy that was there and was being so very *helpful* (sarcasm noted) and probably wanted to leave for the day? I'm not sure, but not very professional to say the least! I am not sure that we will be back there anytime soon because of that incident.

I love this place. I was looking for a truck bed cover. They ordered it, and the next day it came. It took these guys less than 4 minutes to install it. I am so impressed. AND they are so nice and easy to deal with. I recommend them to everybody!

I went to Ed's twice I live in WV but at the time I worked in Md. I needed windows for my mobile home. I called them and they had the size I needed. I picked it up and then a few weeks later went back and got another one. They don't try to sell you anything you don't need and that's great. I realy need a few more windows and want to check out siding and will defintely be going back to them.

Not long after I bought my mobile home, I discovered that the plastic pins that hold in my storm windows were badly deteriorated by heat and sunlight and were in danger of failing. My windows are an odd size and would presumably be expensive to replace, so I headed to Ed's for advice. To my amazement, the fellow behind the desk (who BTW is *not* Ed) disappeared into the basement, and soon reemerged with the EXACT parts I needed! I never dreamed they existed, much less that this small store would have a supply on hand!

On another occasion, I had been at the local "big box home center", drooling over the new plastic register covers with easy-slide openings. (Mine were metal, bent from years of being walked on... the open/close didn't work on most of them, and the edges were dangerously sharp for my pets' feet.) Unfortunately, the big guys didn't have the right size for a mobile home. (Yes, just about everything in a mobile home is a weird size.) I bought one just so I could take it to Ed's and ask if they could get such a thing... walked in the door and there sat a whole rack of them! How DO they do it??

I have been to Ed's both with and without male accompaniment, and have been treated the same either way. Some places talk down to women about home improvement matters -- Ed's is NOT one of them! Ed's is also a good source of references for service providers for your mobile home needs. I got the same respectful treatment from the provider they referred me to.

Recently, Ed's has expanded to include some auto parts and services. I haven't tried any of those, but have every reason to believe they will be of equally high quality as their mobile home business.

Unfortunately, Ed's does not have a web site; but I have been told they are willing to take phone orders and ship some items.
