Extremely unprofessional, horrible alterations... Ordered a simple bridesmaid dress and needed alterations. The dress had to be ordered 4 sizes too big because they said it was the smallest size it came in, which was fine, but never told me that so I thought the dress was being ordered in my size. When the time came for alterations, they said they would take in 2 inches on each of the side seams for $48. When I picked up the dress, they had obviously taken it in from the zipper (cheaper) and there were bumps/darts all the way down the back of the dress and bunching throughout the ribcage area from the crooked zipper work. Instead of taking responsibility for the horrible alterations they lied and blamed it on my body and wanted me to pay another 40 to have the side seams taken in which they were supposed to do in the first place! The owner was extremely rude, so I took the dress to a tailor who had to completely reconstruct the dress due to the extremely poor alterations. The tailor confirmed they had taken it in from the zipper and had never seen such poor work. I spent $50 for Cameo to ruin the dress, then $70 to have it reconstructed.. Interesting. I wouldnt recommend one thing about this place!

I am a bridesmaid who is pregnant. We went in to order dresses and I kept saying over and over how I am pregnant and needed to be fitted extra big for the dress to accommodate my growing frame. We specifically made it clear that I am due the same week as the wedding so I will be HUGE. The lady took out the measuring tape and measured ONLY my ribcage and brought it out about 2 inches. I told her that seemed really small. She kept saying "Oh no, you'll be fine". Again I kept telling her I was going to get ALOT bigger and she said "No, trust me this is how we measure all pregnant bridesmaids. We'll just go up 2 sizes from your normal measurements." Again I said "I don't think 2 sizes is enough, maybe we should do more, I can always take it in." And again she blew it off and said "Nah you'll be fine."So she scribbled down a size on the order and wrote "customer is with child" and I paid for the order. Last night I went to pick up the dress. After the 2 clueless old ladies finally located the dress (we had to tell them my name 5 or 6 times) I went to try it on. Guess what?? It didn't fit!! It wouldn't zip, and I still have a month and a half of growing to do. Let me also add in at this point that I am not a big girl. I am normally about a size 4-5. I have only put on a "normal" amount of preggo weight. So this was not due to a total donut binge. So the ladies are all like "hmmm, I don't know if this will work. Maybe if you don't gain any more weight." What the HELL???So then they told me to take off the dress and see if there was enough fabric to let it out. Guess what? No fabric to let out. So I told them to order another dress. The told me that it would not arrive in time for the wedding. Even if I wanted to "attempt" to order a new one they would make me pay for an additional dress. So I said "You won't order a new dress, this one doesn't fit. So what am I supposed to do?" The lady just shrugged. The bride was p*ssed. She said "just give us the dress and we'll find someone who will make it work somehow by adding a sash or something in the back."So I was up at the counter and the lady said "you should have ordered a bigger size." I told her as calmly as I could that I was the one who wanted a bigger size. She told me "It says on your order form you requested this size. See, they never even took measurements you just told them that size." At that point I said "NO, she measured my ribcage and said I'd be fine. I NEVER told her ANY size to order. The woman who MEASURED me is right there helping that other bride. I TOLD her to go bigger and she blew me off and told me I'd be fine. It even says on my order right there that I am with child...see, it is written on the receipt" The lady just said "Oh" and continued to fill out the receipt. Again I said "I never requested this size. They knew when the wedding was, and I said I was due the same week so make sure to measure me extra extra big. I was blown off and told this would be fine. Now you are doing nothing."No response.I'm just a bridesmaid. I will make it work somehow. But BRIDES, seriously don't risk effing up your wedding dress with these losers. If they screw up, they will do NOTHING to fix it. Seriously. They didn't listen to my request, they blew me off, the dress was wrong, they blamed it on me, said another one couldn't be ordered, didn't offer suggestions or any help whatsoever, then again tried to blame it on me.

I was having such a horrible dress shopping experience until I found Cameo Bridal. This was the 5th shop I visited and by far my favorite. Heather was the first consultant to help me. I came in looking to try a particular dress but she also took the time to figure out what it is that I liked and didn't like so we could narrow down the choices. This place has a HUGE inventory. Everytime I would try a dress and tell her what I thought of it, she would run to the back and grab an even better dress than the one before it. She listened to me and really paid attention to what I wanted rather than just trying to sell me any old dress to make the sale. When I went back the second time to try on my favorite dress for my mom and bridesmaid, Gina helped us. She was fantastic as well. She is honest and helpful and encouraging. I bought my dress that day on the spot. I also love that the staff is huge Ravens fans. If you go shopping on game day you'll get to see them decked out in their Ravens jerseys. :0)

So I had the nerve to expect that I would get good service at bridal shops, this had to have been the most disappointing part of my wedding planning. Then I called Cameo, Gina answered the phone "THANK GOD!" My wedding date is Aug, 1st and I was really pushing it. She was so sweet and helpful, and HONEST. LOVE HER! I bought the dress of my dreams. I can't wait to get married in it. I wanted to call Lily's and Mary's and Country whatever bridal and tell em' were to stickit!

I went with my mother this weekend to Cameo to find her a mother of the bride dress, I am the bride. We drover over an hour. No one asked us if we needed help but they did put us in a dressing room. As my mom was trying on dresses a worker knocked on the wall and said we needed to get out of the dressing room because they had an appt that needed the room. There were no signs anywhere stating you needed an appt. This is supposed to be such a happy experience for me and to be asked to leave was humiliating and upsetting.

I loved Cameo and their light-hearted, down to Earth style. I just read a few of the negative comments and just want to inform some people about what Bridal Shops do. When you go in to look at dresses, they will not give you the designer and other information. This is because they do not want you to go to another store and bargain for a better price. Most shops I visited followed this policy. The women there do not work on commission and are honest and hilarious. You can tell they love what they do.

I was anxious/overwhelmed about shopping for my wedding dress... Cameo II was the second store on my list of places to go, and within 4 dresses, I found mine! I was somewhat skeptical of the shop at first - not necessarily the interior or exterior I'd expect for a bridal shop - but the sales people were friendly, helpful, and encouraging (I don't think they work on commission). Following my trip, they were prompt in returning phone calls and helpful over the phone. I actually ended up not getting my dress at there (I found a shop closer to where I live that carried the dress); when I called, though, to let them know that I was set somewhere else, they were pleasant, warm, and encouraging over the phone. I was happy with my experience and would say it's worth a visit when you're looking for your dress.

Be sure to inspect your gown with a fine-toothed comb when you go to pick it up. Being the naive, trusting girl that I am I paid mine off and walked out without realizing that there was no label inside my $1000 "designer" gown. Now I'm left wondering if they sold me a knock off dress and ripped me off. Buyers beware.

Looking for my wedding dress became a nightmare and I was ready to settle. A friend suggested this place and now I want to do the same for all brides. Before you get your wedding gown, be sure to check this shop out. I was shocked to see their selection. They have some huge inventory room in the back and the salesladies don't give up until you are happy. I had a great experience. They do not make commission, but they love chocolate is their funny saying. I owe them a million pounds of chocolate for helping me. I almost turned into a bridezilla, but now I am just having fun. I highly recommend this place. People who have written negative reviews are crazy because I am very particular about where I shop.

I did not care for the attitude of the ladies working in this shop. After I had already paid for the dress and the alterations, the lady told me that I still owed $75 to the seamstress for the alterations. I told her that I had already brought the cash in a month ago. They do not have a very good record keeping system. Now I will have to find the original receipt or fork over another $75 bucks. I will ruin them and report them to the BBB.

My name is Michele Hoffman and I was a bride of Cameo's on 7/12/08 and I wanted to let everyone know what an amazing experience I had at this wonderful salon. From the minute I walked in, I felt welcomed. They do not make commission and were not pushy whatsoever. However, my confident sales lady Gina made the comment that if I did not find my perfect dress there, she would be really surprised. I went there with no intention to buy, but guess what, after telling her what I did and did not want, presto, the first gown she got out was absolutely perfect. End of story, beginning of my new life. I have read some of the reviews on this site and most of them are positive. The negative ones I read are ridiculous because I spent a lot of time there and I guess some people just do not want to be happy, they have to look for something to complain about. Well, to all of you negative people, Cameo Bridal Salon is a terrific place... I highly recommend them.

I went there with my sister and couldn't wait to leave. We were looking for a bridesmaid dress for my sister. Many of the dresses did not have the tag of the designer in them. i asked who the designer was so I could check the colors. She kept tell me that they had a "house" system and she didnt know them all but could tell me what colors the dresses could come in. She watched me like a hawk while my sister tried on size 4 dress (most of them were too small. so it was impossible to tell if it was a good match for my sis)- I tried to continue looking at the dresses, but the salesperson almost seemed to think I was going to walk out of the door with a dress in one hand and my 8 month old niece in the other, leaving my sister behind to fend for herself. I asked her to write the dresses we liked and she did, but after we left, I realized she never asked for my info so writing down the dress numbers was pointless! My sister also enjoyed the "5 dress minimum try on" sign in the dressing room. It s fine she didn;t really write down the dress info- I am NEVER going back there. What have happened to customer service?

Upon entering,I felt a little skeptical that we would be able to find something among the tons of dresses hanging about, but Ms. Gina is best thing that ever happened for a bride-to-be. (On a side note-they don't work on commission)
I thought we would need hours looking and trying on dresses, but Ms. Gina was right outside that curtain with something else to toss over my head. She gave her opinion on what did/did not look good, which is a GOOD thing; you definitely don't want someone just trying to push a dress on you.She made me feel very comfortable and she was very professional about her opinions and ideas for my gown.
Although most of the dresses I tried on were 3-4 sizes too large for my build (they have a lot of larger sizes there to accomodate the larger ladies), that woman was AMAZING- she yanked and yolked stuff up so i got an exact idea of what I would look like in the dress. She noted my body type and knew just what gowns to pull out that would accentuate features. My sister also tried on quite a few bridesmaid dresses, and Ms. Gina was right on point with flattering dresses for her frame (although she surprisingly ended up rooting her pick out from the racks) And more power to Ms. Gina for 1. getting my sister to wear a dress, and 2. that the dresses she tried on were PINK.
I would definitely recommend Ms. Gina and her very pleasant staff, i think our gowns were reasonably priced, and we will definitely remember the experience. Don't let the old age of the building scare you, after you get that dress on, it just makes you stand out that much more!

I recently went shopping for a wedding gown with a girlfriend. Cameo had an amazing selection - almost too many dresses, but every one had the tags removed and were in no way marked as to who the designer was. Stranger was that the sales associates would not disclose the designer - everything was "an original import." We were told by one really nice girl, the maker of the bridesmaid gowns we were considering, but we could get nothing from the woman helping us with the wedding dress. I think we would have purchased their if we could have gotten all of the info - but the bride was not comfortable buying her dress without her mom seeing it - and they wouldn't let her take a picture of it. So...great selection, really supportive and kind help, but clearly too protective...you should be able to price shop - and with this store, you cannot.

I have shopped everywhere to find my wedding gown and every place I went seemed so pushy and non personal. It became more of a pain than a fun experience until, I went to Cameo. They greeted me and made me feel right at home. They had so many choices, I did not no where to begin, so I put myself in their hands and I found the perfect dress. They are really down to earth and make you feel confident. I really liked the salesladies, I was so happy when I found the dress, that both my mom and I actually cried. I recommend this shop because they made my shopping experience really a pleasure.

My family and friends have all purchased their gowns, from prom to wedding at this cute store. It was my turn and my experience was awesome. My sales lady Gina was amazing. She knew exactly what was best for me. I am a large size and they had a pretty good variety for me to try. After choosing my gown, I brought my bridesmaids in to choose theirs and again, it was awesome from beginning to end. I think this is a family owned place, but I felt like family. The friendliest, funnest store. Go there, you will really remember what a great experience it was to choose your dream gown.

My sister and I went in looking for just a top for our maid of honor dresses. So of course we brought the skirt to the store with us. No one greeted us when we walked into the costume looking bridal shop. The old lady that probably owns that place was so rude, she just showed us where the separates were and walked away. Then when we asked where we could try it on and were directed to a room with just a curtain blocking you from the public, and she told us we weren't allowed to bring in any bags. We told her it was the skirt that we needed to try on with the tops and she made us open the bag and show her like we were criminals and wanted to shoplift in her store. My sister wanted to leave immediately because she doesn't like it when salespeople are rude, but I made her stay since we were already there. I will never step foot in that place ever again, so if you can avoid it, take my advice and do not ever go there!!!

I was in a wedding and the bride picked the bridesmaid's dresse's from here. Everything went well until it was time to pick up the dress's. The maid of honor dress's (2) were in a different color then the bridesmaid dress's, well the shop ordered the wrong colors and ended up with 3 maid of honor dress's. The bridesmaid did not keep her reciept with the color listed on it and the shop refused to show us their reciept (although the bride peeked and saw that the correct color was originally ordered) the shop refused to take the dress back and the MOB had to order another dress in the right color and pay for it. This shop brought my friend (the bride) to tears and refused to help at all. If you decide to go with this shop hold on to everything, b/c they will try to change things on you.

Your average bridal shop. Limited selection in larger sizes. Plus sized girls shouldn't expect to be able to try on a lot of dresses that fit even closely. They do have some bigger dresses, which is better than some other places. There's a good selection of bridesmaid and mother's dresses. Prices are a little high as you'd expect from a small salon. Alterations are expesive and I'd recommend buying your dress and finding a seamstress to do them. Sales girls are friendly and helpful.

I looked for bridesmaid dress is many shops and this one was very low-key. The girls working here were not the in your face pushy salespeople. They were very helpful in suggesting styles to fit all of my girls. The selection was a little small, but the service makes up for that.
