Pho Nam Restaurant

I usually go to Pho #1 down the road, but decided to give Pho Nam a chance on a day when the former closed early. I'm glad I did. The restaurant itself may be an unassuming hole-in-the-wall, and the menu has maybe 20 items on it, but the food is great and the service is lightning-fast. To the reviewer who complained about no vegetarian dishes, perhaps you should have done some research before going there. Pho is non-vegetarian almost by definition, and you're not likely to have any luck at an authentic pho house.

PROS: cheap, good, fast
CONS: lacking in ambience (definitely not a "date restaurant")

Trust me, I am an experienced Pho eater as I have been everywhere from the east coast to the west coast.....this is a good place to eat Pho. They do not have Veggie or a large menu so if u want something as such then go somewhere else!!! Just look at the sign, it said Pho....and you will get it in the most authentic way. For real. I am from the West coast but I drive for 30 min to eat Pho there only...and only there because it is good.

PROS: good pho!!! excellent actually
CONS: I think the scene could be better (so I give a 4)..but who cares

When I visited this restaurant, I walked in with the assumption that like most asian places, they would be able to cater to the fact that I was vegetarian. First of all, they hardly had any vegetarian options and the meat dishes which they were willing to make with vegetables, were made with beef broth or were much to expensive for something that would not have meat in it. When finally settling on one of their few vegetarian dishes, I was very dissapointed because it had the most horrible smell and did not take like good quality food. I hate to bias, but I avoid all pho restaurants for fear that they will not have anything for me to eat.
