Pier 1 imports is all about presentation. Their store is beautifully organized, decorated, and consequently very inviting. But lets face it, why should I buy a wicker table and chair set for $350 there when I can buy a wooden table and chair set at Ikea for $150? Obviously the reason they are expensive is that they have imported things, so the customer ends up paying for the shipping and handling. However, the fact remains that for the prices they charge you can get the same kind of piece in a higher quality for less money.
