I got my first tattoo 11 years ago. I went to Underground Tattoo. The owner was friends with my departed uncle.

When I wanted my nose pierced and more tattoos, I went to underground. I used to buy a lot of mythical knick-knacks from the shop the owner's wife was running for a while. My husband and I spent a fair amount of money in there and she and I would talk about my family. I thought she was a nice person. I got my nose pierced and 3 tattoos in the space of six weeks. I brought my mom in to Underground for her first tattoo. My sister-in-law and brother were thinking of getting tats. I have a list of about 10 more tats I want to get.

The sign in the shop says that you get free touch-up for 6 months of getting a tattoo at Underground.

My husband had called me one day and told me that he heard at work that the artist who did my tat no longer worked there. A family member of someone he worked with had gotten a tattoo from the new guy and it looked like a blob. I was worried and stopped by to talk to the owner about my touch-up. He told me that he would have to do the touch-up and to come back on a Monday or Tuesday. Two weeks later I show up on a Tuesday afternoon for the touch-up. They refused me! They will not touch up the work. They say I have to drive about an hour to get the artist who had done the tat to touch it up. The sign does not say "as long as the artist who did the work still works here." Originally, I didn't go to underground for those particular artist. I don't even know why they left. I didn't have anything to do with them leaving. I think this is bad business practice. Their sign should say exactly what they mean. They shouldn't tell me one thing and then two weeks later tell me something completely different.

Word of mouth in my area is the best advertising. I used to tell people such good things about Underground Tattoo. Now I will make sure I tell everyone I know what a horrible experience I had.
