We received and accepted an online quote of $775.00 to move our house hold belongings. When it came to the moving day, they showed up and the first thing they did was make a copy of our credit card and had us sign moving documents. Once this was done, they did a walk thought and said the job would cost $2,236. We told them that was unacceptable. They said if we canceled the move, we would loses our $110 deposit and we would as be charged and additional $410 for them just to come to our property. The web site claimed no hidden fees but they were adding a10% fuel charge, a 3%credit card fee, a 60 cent per pound insurance fee, etc... We sent them away and would recommend that no one in there right mind use them.

Me and my wife moved with Best Time Movers within our community in Virginia. Even though the move was small, they took great care of everything. Their full packing service was all inclusive, so there were no surprises when it came to payment.

I recently moved with Best Time Movers!

The salesperson, Pia, was really nice and knowledgeable. She helped me with all of my needs and explained about all the fees, so that on the day of the move, there were no hidden fees.

The foreman, Pirus, was really nice and effiecient and nice. All of the crew was very nice.

My kitchen table was a little damaged and I called the claim department who were also very nice and I got refunded for the table.

Overall, I am VERY happy with the move.

I had already hired movers and they called me to say they had to cancel because they were overbooked. I went back to the email quote I had from Best Time and scheduled with them.

Their price was a little higher than some of the other quotes, but they are well worth the money. The movers were nice and great at their jobs. I thought it would take all day, but they got me in my new place two hours earlier than anticipated.

They moved me from MD to CA. It was my first time moving across the country, so I was clueless. They offered me a competitive rate and the customer service rep recommended that I spend a little extra and let the movers do the packing and provide all the supplies. I'm so glad that I took her advice. All I had to do was unplug my electric gadgets and appliances, and they did the rest. Even though I didn't use it, they even offered me up to one month of free storage in case I needed it.

The pickup and delivery was on time and the movers were friendly and professional. I'll definitely use them again, if I move.

I moved from Potomac to Chantilly a few days ago and these guys were fantastic. They packed everything extremely well and the move went off without a hitch!!! The home I was moving from had an extremely narrow staircase, but they got creative and moved my enormous antique armoire (plus a few other large pieces) down those stairs with no problems. They offered a great hourly rate that included all packing and supplies.

I would definitely use them again and I will be recommending them to all my friends. Frankly, I'm shocked to see a bad review listed here. I had a fabulous experience with them.

Three months ago we wanted to shift our office to downtown Washington DC. We were quite apprehensive about the move and then we heard about Best Time Movers. As their reputation was good in the market place we decided to try them out. We are extremely happy with their work. There was no downtime while shifting and they exactly maintained our relocation schedule. We will very happily try them again if the need arise. Please visit their website at:

Pros: Best Moving company in town

Cons: None

We moved with "Metro van Lines" in January, 2008. When looking for a moving company in the DC and MD area (we were moving a DC home and a MD home together into DC) we called around and Metro Van Lines and Best Time Moving gave us identical low quotes. We checked both out on the net and went with Metro because of a slightly more polished web site some other factors. We were wary because both websites had some identical language. When we asked Metro about this, they claimed to have nothing to do with Best Time and suggested that someone may have copied them. I was therefore surprised when the movers showed up in a Best Time Movers truck and used Best Time Movers boxes. They said that their truck was broken and they borrowed one.

We were careful to tell them not to use materials without permission, since they charged a fortune for tape, bubble wrap, etc. Still, they would use up rolls of tape, running around pieces of furniture, trailing tape like they were circling a may pole. they did this without asking and without permission (or need, really). They put EVERYTHING in their incredibly expensive garrment boxes. They put packed SUITCASES in garment boxes and when they couldn't find anything else, pillows.

When we got to our destination (late) they gave me a final bill that was nearly $1,000 more than what we agreed on and demanded cash (late in the evening). There was never permission given to use any materials but ours and no accounting of what was used. They would not take anything off of the truck until I paid. Finally, I gave them $500 to keep working while I worked hings out with their office. The office basically laughed at me and said that they would keep our things if I didn't pay. The incredibly nasty woman on the other end of the line screamed that I could go to court for my money back if I didn't like it.

I got my $500 cash back from the foreman and said that I would unload the truck myself. At this point, they tried to leave with our possessions. I stood in front of the truck and called the police. The police arrived and said that they could not simply take our things and that she would arrest them for theft if they tried to leave. She ordered them to unload the truck and said that they could go to court if they wanted but could not keep our things.

At that point, the Metro supervisor, who was on the phone, told his men to take our things back to our old homes and dump them there. Luckily, the police told them that they couldn't. Then he told them to dump our things on the sidewalk, which is what they did. I told them that if they put our things inside our new home, I would pay them what we agreed (the estimate) and even tip the workers but would not pay a cent if they left things on the sidewalk for my girlfriend and I to drag in ourselves. They left our things (we dragged them in in the rain in January) and I did not pay anything. They threatened to go to court but that was more than a year and a half ago and they did nothing.

These people do this all the time (see the other reports). They are simply extortionists who take advantage of people in a stressful situation. DO NOT USE THEM and if you are in this position, do not be afraid to call the police. They cannot legally drive off with your things.

Pros: Nothing Good. They will rip you off if you let them.

The company may appeal to you due to the low cost they suggest at first. NO NONONONONO, never ever try to use the service provided by this company. I've moved from Maryland to Arizona three weeks ago. My boxes(no furniture) got picked up on June 29, and I'm still waiting for them to arrive. It's July 20th(Monday) today. The driver and the crews were supposed to be here on last Saturday night, and he called me on Sat. afternoon saying the truck engine broke down. I'm still waiting for the call from him. The company should have taken better care of their equipments. I paid the cost by cash to make the moving & shipping process quicker(that's what they told me about payment), and this is what I get. When I was contacting the company while I was still in Maryland, they said it would take no more than two weeks for the delivery, and I believed what they said. The guys who picked up the boxes at my previous place asked me to give them a generous amount of tips after working about half an hour. Yes, the guy who seemed to be in charge of the group asked me to give him at least $70 for the service of 30 minutes. NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVE!

Okay, it's Monday, July 20th, and the driver just called me to say he will arrive here at midnight. When I said it's too late, he said then he will deliver my stuffs at 6 am tomorrow morning. No other options available. THe company just don't care about the delivery time at all. AVOID THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!

I found Best Time Movers on the Web and decided to use them because they responded quickly to my request. They said that they could accomplish the move in a timely manner.

My experience with them was good: They handled the move
