Good tasting food. A little expensive, but well worth it. I will certainly go back for the spring rolls alone! I also think that the service was excellent. They seem to enjoy their jobs.

The Orient has the best chinese food in the area. The portions too large to eat in one sitting. The service is fast and friendly. It is located right on the main drag in Towson, within walking distance of Towson University. The chicken szechuan is spicy and delicious! They are open seven days a week, offer take-out and free delivery. The only drawback is that they do not have vegetable eggrolls. Wine and other alcoholic drinks are available.

I went to The Orient a couple of times and always had great food there. If you are around Towson and want awesome Asian food, I recommend The Orient!!

We have lived in Towson for a few years and have found that The Orient is the best local Chinese restaurant in the area. I generally order sushi, but my husband enjoys a variety of dishes and we are always very pleased. The wait staff is very friendly and speaks directly to my 6 year old - which we all appreciate. The atmosphere is always great as well; peaceful and generally quiet - a nice change from the norm.

This is my go-to place when I want sushi in a nice sit-down restaurant. I especially like the fact that they serve Chinese as well as Japanese, which means I can get sushi while my non-sushi eating husband can get Chinese. Their sushi is very good, not earth shatteringly good, but very good, fresh, and basic. I have never eaten at the sushi bar, instead I order the sushi combo at the table which usually includes nigiri tuna, salmon, white fish, and California roll. Very basic but very good. I have tried their spider roll but I found it to be greasy. I stick to the basics here which they do very well. I am a big fan of their seaweed salad so I always order that as well. My husband says they have excellent shrimp toast and cashew chicken. Overall the atmosphere is pleasant and makes for a nice meal out. We eat out a lot and we probably go here more than other places because it is reasonably priced, local, and very good.
