Ernies Restaurant & Pub

Was in the club on November 7th, and it was not too bad. The band could have been better. Not a bad guitar player, but his voice sucked. Come on Marty! Why don't you hire a band that is good like the Montana Blues St. Band?

Based on waitress mistake unbenounced to me, I was first called a thief by lady owner with serious attitude, then 2 mins later told by the co-owner (or manager) he was going to get beat up in parking lot (wimp was "held back" by his entourage), so he then kicked out of the bar.

Turned out instead of being 100% - $20 of check, we were 110% because when waitress was given cash and told to split the remainder on two credit cards, she undercharged cards $5/each, so our 20% tip turned to 10%.

This ruined my evening with my new girlfriend and me. Great place to be able to call 911 on owners for bar fight.

Great food and people. Eat there 4 nights a week. Pizza good, Bay wings greatest I've ever had. Steak sandwich great. Have after hours meeting with crew ever Tuesday. Owners and crew very friendly and ready to please.

It's been a long time since a bar/pub of this kind has been in Gaithersburg!! Thanks to Alexis, Marty, and their wonderful staff, here it is! I've been going to Ernies for 25 years - seen good and bad - but it's the best now that it has ever been. Atmosphere, food, drinks, people...it's got it all. Thank you, Paul (long time bartender) for many years of great hospitality and thank you Alexis & Marty for all the great changes you have brought in. A toast to you all!!

I went to this pub 15 yrs ago , the food was OK at best but it was dark and dim lit.Fast forward to today 2009 February ..THE FOOD WAS POOR COLD AND THE BREAD WAS HARD . If there is any change is that now Its alot brighter and SAME POOR sandwich,. THE so called fresh cut fry's were frozen ones to look like old hand cut frys. The four of us had a high check $$ and POOR service .the new owner have to Hire a new COOK/CHEF and put in some new ITEMS not new Pricing. SOme day there will be a go to place and we can eat GOOD FOOD GOOD PRICE AND want to return.. NOT HERE SORRY.. the new owners are Very nice But maybe wrong SPOT..

We have been to Ernie's regularly since the new owners took over and we have never been disappointed. The pizza is always first rate, the beer is always cold and the owners couldn't be friendlier. It's a great neighborhood hang-out. We highly recommend it!

I just started going to Ernies and the place is great, awesome food and the staff is wonderful. The new owners are making changes and i think the place will do very well...My boyfriend and i sat on the bar side and the bartender was GREAT, very personable. Great job Ernies keep up the good work..

Ernie's is a great place. Lots of nice people working there. The service may be a little bit slower---EVERYTHING is made to order. Better food made to order, worth the wait to me!!! New owners are awesome and seem like they are going to make some great new changes.

Ernies is under NEW ownership as the day before Christmas 2008. The new owners are very family oriented and plan on making some exciting changes to the menu and renovations within the restaurant. I'm sure if you stop by you will meet them -- Marty and Alexis Magill. :)

I eat there 3 times a week for lunch. Great food but the service is a little slow. I think it is under new ownwership now. Not sure if the menue will change or not.

Ernie's Pub has 1/2 price pizza on Monday nights (check with them before you go in case the day of the week has changed). The pizza is good. The other food I've tried wasn't great.

PROS: 1/2 price pizza night
CONS: Other food not so good.
