Party City

I called Party City today to order balloons for my son's birthday. I was transferred four times and then sat on hold! This was on a Sunday morning, not even their "busy" time. I hung up and ordered from Giant. Ridiculous.

I recently went to this store to buy decorations for a 30th birthday party for me and my husband. Four staff members looked at me and walked away. I finally found the aisle on my own, which did have very cute stuff (although not a terribly large selection). In another aisle looking for something else, I had to listen to one of the employees pace up and down the aisle cursing very loudly to himself. When he saw me looking at him, he mumbled "sorry" and walked away.
Went to pay and there were two registers open. By the looks on the customer's faces, you could tell this was not going well. After five minutes in one line that literally did not move, I went to a different line. After another five minutes, they opened another register. The cashier was ringing up my products and a bag of confetti I had wanted to buy ripped open and spilled everywhere. She then tried to ring up the empty bag! After telling her I would not be purchasing an empty bag, she voided the item.
I will not be going back to this store. You are better off ordering online or going somewhere else.

I was in the store at 8:45pm on a Saturday and watched the manager direct a member of the staff to lock the door (they close at 9pm) He then proceeded to laugh and berate some last minute shoppers who came to the door prior to 9pm.

Unbelievable!

This is a good place to get a halloween costume for anybody from baby to an adult. They have a great selection of costumes, and they typically have enough stock so are not usually sold out. The staff is also very helpful.
