Best salon in town.
I've been doing my hair at Bubbles for years. The service is great and the prices are good too. I always have Esmeralda do my hair: highlights, blow dry, hair cut, etc. Many of my friends go to her as well, and many people (strangers) have asked for the salon where I get my hair done. Good job Esme and Bubbles in Bethesda.

I had a pretty good but not excellent experience. I would recommend them... but I think it would be best to have someone in mind. I went to get my eyebrows done and my hair cut. I thought I was pretty clear on what I wanted... but maybe I was not. My haircut was not too bad... but not really what I wanted. I wanted more body, etc. and my hair came out very flat which was disappointing to me... especially since I only get my hair cut once a year at most... they did a great job on my eyebrows though... I really liked them... so I recommend them... but just do your homework first...

The establishment was very positive though... nice service, not expensive... and nice people... :-)

I made an appointment for daughter for 7pm. When we got there, the receptionist said they were busy and we'd need to wait a "few" minutes. Twenty minutes later, we were still waiting. A guy walked in, asked when the next available appointment would be and the receptionist told him ten minutes. Less than three minutes later, he was in a chair getting his hair cut.
When I asked the receptionist, Janet, why we were still waiting she admitted she had forgotten we were there. I probably would have been okay with that since it appeared to be an honest mistake but when a few moments passed and she offered no apology and seemed to take no ownership what-so-ever for her mistake, I got really mad. She then tried to tell me that it was because men's cuts don't take as long so that's why she sat the walk-in first. Right. Like that makes any kind of sense, especially since she had first been honest and admitted she had forgotten about us.

Next, she tried to tell us it would only be a "few" more minutes. Any idiot could look at the stylists and see that none was even 15 minutes away from finishing up with their current clients. We left. We we're never going back.

I can deal with a salon being busy, overbooked, mediocre hair cuts but terrible customer service is inexcusable.

I remembered I had called in to verify the cost of color and cut which they gave me price but when I get there the receptionist was very rude and so was my hair dresser, she said to me how do you want your cut and color which I told her and she cut my hair how she wanted and then I asked her to color it different and siad no because it would not look good on my color skin and continued with the previous color I asked for. I felt offened and plus I was the one who was paying for it and I should be the one to decide if it looks good on me or not and she half way blowed dried my hair and then she said she was done and when it was time to pay it came out $100 more then what they told me over the phone which I tried to dispute and she just said who ever gave you that price did not know what she was talking about. Very horrible customer service. I dont recommend it for no one, they are to stuck on them selves and speak about there personal life which is not professional.

Just went to the Bubbles in Bethesda. Haircut only cost $40- which in Bethesda, where I work, is a deal! Got a nice stylist-Jacky. She did awesome natural highlights and really made my haircut have a new, fresher look. Really great service for a really great price.

I went to Bubbles in Bethesda recently. The stylist was rude and snotty. Also, they overbooked her, which meant that while she ran 15 minutes late for my appointment, she decided to run through my entire hair cut in the remaining 15 minutes. No attention to anything. The kicker was that upon finishing, she decided she couldn't be bothered to blow dry my hair and stuck me under a dryer. After waiting 15 minutes for her to return and finish, it became apparent that she wasn't going to. I ended up walking out with my hair half dryed and not so much as brushed. All she said was finished?, and then told them to charge me $40. Hardly worth it.

I wandered in off the street on a friday afternoon and got a decent cut for $35 in about half an hour. Wasn't the best I'd ever gotten, but for a women's hair cut (angled, layered bob) and style that's pretty good.

I don't color my hair and my stylist was pushing it- I had to be pretty firm that I did not want highlights.. IMO the coloring is WAY overpriced.

Seems like a place where, if you have something relatively simple and you are clear about what you need done you'll be OK.

This salon has the worst customer service I have ever experienced! I called to make an appointment for a perm for my mom for Mother's Day and asked for their recommendation. They recommended Joseline, who turned out to be young and also incompetent. Maybe I should have asked specifically for someone with experience doing perms because she took 4 hours to do a simple perm and cut! The chemicals were dripping all over my mom's face and she kept receiving guidance and encouragement from another stylist, an indication that she has not had much experience doing a perm and cut. When I went to pay, a young receptionist named Jenny charged me $125 - $95 for the perm and $30 for the cut (she did ask Joseline how much to charge for the cut). I found out later on that I was overcharged $30. I should have only been charged $95 b/c that includes perm, cut and style. So, I called the salon the next day and spoke very politely with Esmeralda (who turned out to be the salon manager), and she told me that she was the only one who could fix the transaction and told me the days she would be working. I went in today and Jenny was at the reception desk. I specifically asked to see Esmeralda and she came and told me to wait because she was putting color in a customer's hair. She was very rude about it and did not tell me how long I should expect to be waiting. I stood there in front of the receptionist's desk for about 10 minutes before I told Jenny that I had somewhere else to be and fixing my transaction would be alot faster than putting color in someone's hair. I never got an apology from Jenny for charging me incorrectly. When Esmeralda FINALLY came to help me, she had Jenny give me a form to fill out! I don't know why they didn't give me this form while I was waiting! After I got my money back, Esmeralda grudgingly said "sorry about that" without even looking at me. These people clearly need to learn manners and good customer service. If I could give it 0 stars, I would have, but unfortunately, I was forced to give at least 1 star. I will never go back here again and for those of you who are regular customers, double check your bills!!!

I recommend this salon to everyone! Very reasonable (around $40 for a shampoo/cut/blow dry) and as good as you would get at an expensive place down town. Ask for Vaje- she is amazing.
