It was my 5th Anniversary and I was looking for somewhere stylish to mark this special day for me & my husband. As we stepped in at Akbar Palace Restaurant, we were courteously escorted to our table that we had booked. Being typically American, we were the first to arrive to dine but as the evening went on, more and more couples and small groups arrived. The atmosphere was intimate and relaxing, a mood maintained by the music and the attentive staff even when the restaurant was full. Our waiter expertly guided us through the menus and we ordered our food which came promptly and was very well presented. We were so impressed by the experience that we have decided to come here every week.

Akbar Palace is awesome place. Excellent ambience and tasty food too........thats what you can expect when you head to this place for a fun filled lunch. Some things, thankfully, never change. And it should not change, like the Akbar Palace that dishes up staple Indian dishes which are too good. This was the great experience for me. Do not miss!

Akbar Palace Restaurant is the great Indian Restaurant. Very authentic. If you prefer indian cuisine, this is a good place for that. Items on the menu are excellent, good to impress our friends, or clients. This is a good place, as the ambience is good, serves both Veg and non-veg dishes, and the great music played by restaurant. The staff and the owner were just awesome, they were very co-operative. The place was just incredible and we plan to come at least twice a week with my friends. You will walk out with an incredibly unique experience and you Will be incredibly full; with a smile on your face.

I went to this place with my friends, we were some 8+ friends and had reservation. They had kept the place ready for us when we reached. The food is great, and the place is really worth a try for that true Indian experience. You can see some exciting menu for buffet. The food was too good. The ambience was excellent. There were many food choices available, so you can enjoy your favorite food. A perfect blend of food and ambience. Akbar Palace Restaurant's food is superb with reasonable cost. It is a great Indian Restaurant.

Akbar Palace Restaurant is one of my favorite restaurant which I ever been seen. The staff and the owner of the restaurant are very cooperative they treat the guest as royals I love to go this restaurant. The owner give you the 10$ Gift certificate for your Birthday. We celebrate our special occasion at Akbar Palace Restaurant as it is a best occasion celebration restaurant. The Food is mouth watering and you love to have it again and again. I recommend other also to visit this restaurant.

We are very fond of trying different different menu in different restaurant. We try different restaurant because we have not found the great restaurant where we want to always go. But when my friend recommended me Akbar Palace Restaurant I went there and we found that this restaurant is very good which provide excellent services and they have lots of menu to try for. Specially we like the Tandoori Specials and Deserts.
From the time we came at Akbar Palace we never go to any other restaurant for lunch or dinner because in this restaurant you get everything which you want to eat and they also adjust the dish according to our need and the owner of the restaurant are very helpful and co-operative.

I go to Akbar Palace Restaurant, very frequently & I like their food very much. I like the service of the restaurant. The food is great and very tasty. I had celebrated my birthday at Akbar Palace and that was my best birthday celebration they also give some gift certificate for the benefit of the customers. I just love the restaurant & recommend to all.

Akbar Palace has a great brunch menu. The food is really tasty and the service is excellent. If you are in the mood for great Indian food, definitely try Akbar's brunch on a weekend.

Food is good. It's not quite up to par with the Columbia and Mount Vernon Akbars (I believe the Akbar owners once owned this restaurant as well), but I have eaten there many times, and I've never been displeased with any of the dishes I've had. Atmosphere is better than could be expected from outward appearances -- basically, your typical dark banquet hall setup. Location is off the beaten path. Getting there means running through the gauntlet of lights on Liberty Road, and that stretch of county has seen better days.
PROS: Food is good. Buffet is a great deal.

I saw a rat in the main dining room the last time I was there, so that was the very last time I will goto Akbar. It's unfortunate because they are the only Indian restaurant I know of in the county.

Well everthing is good here the food, price and service. Only thing is that you must choose your items well which if you don't you feel that all of them taste the same. Great for Indian menus and the place is good too with good parking space with not that very great interiors but good to be with family for a buffet. Service indeed is good and adding a personal touch to the client approach makes them good.

This was the worst dining experience of my life. I was meeting with a couple a friends here, and our intention was to order South Indian food. As we waited, we snacked on some papads, which we discovered had hair in it. Then we found out that there was no South food. So most of us ended up ordering just appetizers. The owner actually approached us, and insulted us for not ordering more. He said he wasn't running a snack joint, he was running a business. We were a group of college kids, so we really didn't know how to respond to this verbal assault. So, we ended up paying $10 for the water and papads and went to the pizzeria across the street. Did I mention that there was hair in our food? We didn't get an apology, but rather an insult for not getting more overpriced food. I was very shocked and left fuming. Terrible place to eat. Restaurants should be a place where people can enjoy their meals with their companions, not a place where the customers are last on the priority list. Do NOT come here.
I eat at Akbar Palace Restaurant regularly and have never been disappointed. I usually go for the mixed entree, then either, lamb korma, chicken vindaloo (nice and hot) and butter chicken. The Service is always prompt and efficient and you don't wait long before the tasty entree and main meals come out. Always a consistently good meal and worth a visit.

Great inexpensive food ; consistent quality, wide selection of food without compromise of quality and taste. It is the only one stop for whole family and everyone - the khulcha's the paratha and many more are so delicious mouth starts watering.
The staff and owner of the restaurant are very friendly and very co-operative. Everybody is given special attention and special care is taken to make the customers comfortable. The decoration of the restaurant is quite up to the mark.
There is special arrangement for your birthday and anniversary parties here. They allow you a special discount for your birthday and anniversary.
Please do visit the restaurant , it is really very good restaurant!
A "one stop" for the whole family - something for everyone - the garlic naan and chicken makani is a must ! ! !

I always go to Akbar Palace for my lunch and there are my friends also who join me for the lunch we find the lunch very tasty and healthy. We love the service provided by the owner of the restaurant. The owners are very friendly not only with us but everybody. I and my friends find this restaurant best in the state of maryland and we always go only to this restaurant for our lunch and for the celebration of some special events they provide numbers of offers for the celebration so I would recommend you also to go there and taste the food and I am sure if you go there you will always want to go there only and not any other place.

I had gone to Akbar Palace Restaurant with my family . I love the food from Akbar Palace Restaurant I found the food was the best in the world. When I entered the Restaurant the owner of the Restaurant gave us the warm welcome. They welcomed us like their family. The owner of the Restaurant are very good human beings. There service was very good and the music was fantastic.
This restaurant is very good for any occassion celebration like party, birthday and anniversary etc. I celebrated my birthday in this restaurant there are special arrangement for this occassion.
I will recommend everyone from baltimore to go to this restaurant and taste the food and I am sure once you go there you will be wanting to go everyday to have some food.
