This place is delightful! I never thought that a place could pack such a good time into such a small place but Lynn's has found the key to Chubb's lock. Though I had heard this place was unique, I underestimated the telepathically gifted

They have the best pricing around & offer a lot of great cash price discounts! Lots of fun & the technicians are absolutely wonderful. They have helped in so many ways and I've always had a pleasant experience there I can't wait to go back

I read the negative reviews and thought they just might be a little harsh. I signed up for a massages for my daughter and me. When we walked down the hall to the spa, the carpet was filthy and the walls were just as bad. When we entered the "spa" there were stains all over the very small, crowded, dirty and messy reception area - if you can call it that! There were two teenaged girls who acted like they were doing us a favor by acknowledging our presence.

Our appointment was early in the morning, however when we went into the waiting area and there were left over dirty cups and dust on the tables. We waited about 20 minutes for our treatments and at no time did anyone from the spa walk through to pick up the trash or straighten up the area.

My daughter had a good massage but I chose refelxology and the technician stated that next time I should get a massage!

When we checked out we found the "receptionists" just as nonchalant as when we entered.

I run a business and have a few tips for Lynn's Spa:
1. The receptionists are the face of your business. You need to ensure that they are professional and helpful.
2. The entry into your space should be pristine and welcoming - not dirty!
3. The waiting area should be cleaned of dust and dirty napkins, crumbs and used cups.
4. A spa is supposed to be welcoming and relaxing. I found it no better than an HMO where the patients sit in a waiting room waiting to be called for the next appointment. The spa has absolutely no class and I will never spend another penny in there!

I spent $200 for a friend's birthday at the spa and $95 for a facial for myself. The staff was very unfriendly, snobby and rude. The spa was dark and dingy, floors dirty. There is no spa feel here whatsoever. On checkout I dreaded facing those staffers, who were consistently rude and gave the impression they are doing you a favor. My friend and I vowed never to return.

Trying to make an appointment at this place is impossible. The teenage girls running the reception seem to enjoy telling you there are no appointments for the next month for the service you want, and then acting all surprised when you say no, that's not the service you asked for, then putting you on hold for ten minutes, then dropping the call, then making sure you speak to a different one of them when you call back and then putting you on hold again, while they 'check the book' (you can hear them giggling with each other in the background as they flick through the pages of the book very slowly, or their magazines, I am never sure). With all the new day spas opening in Columbia/Fulton, I assume these girls are actually working for the competition and trying to sabotage Lynn's, -- if they aren't, then someone in management really needs to get a clue and get them fired! Like the other reviewer, I find the services are fine although the pedicure/manicure area in the new location includes some weird pipe sucking noises and the pedicures in there are really good or mediocre depending on the technician. Massages have been generally ok, if a bit rushed, and facials ok also. I tried a lavender body polish also but found it a bit overpowering. I really don't like the new location it's very "medical" on the outside and doesn't put me in a relaxed mood.

I decided to treat myself to a relaxing day at the spa and saw that this spa was rated number 1. HAAAAA, what a joke! This spa should have been rated POOR! For starters, inside looks like an old house and it smells of cats and dogs. It must be that musty old carpet that is holding this horrific smell. I just couldn't get past it. They should greatly invest in scented candles and glade pluggins to at least TRY to cover up this horrendous odor if they are not going to invest in new carpeting. The rooms are cold and very uncomfortable. The techs that I had were very friendly. If it weren't for them, my experience would have been a TOTAL flop. Tracy was so funny and great to talk to. So we talked the entire time. My second tech was Kelly and she was also a nice and friendly person. Again, I just could not get past the smell or the coldness. The rooms looked so dirty and unclean. My rooms didn't even have Drapes on the windows..just the metal blinds...stained walls and ceilings. I barely wanted to touch anything. Nothing about this is relaxing, just plain WEIRD. I went to Spa in the Valley and had an absolutely WONDERFUL experience. One of the techs also agreed that it is a great spa (Spa in the Valley), but too pricey. I know now, to go with quality and not with affordability. Spa in the Valley...here I come...because Lynn's is for the birds...! I'm a very easy going person, not at all hard to please, but really, this so called spa is a little too lax and not at all professional. Its dirty, cheap looking, and outside of SOME friendly workers, not at all customer oriented. Save up your money and go to a more relaxing place. Read reviews first and you be the judge. Had I read you alls reviews first, I would NOT have chosen this place. Two thumbs and two toes DOWN!

lets start from when i walked in for the first time.a very unwelcome attitude.i like to know why they call some cookies in a dirty bowl refreshments. i think for the rates they should have at least individual packs of cookies.most day spas welcome you send you to a clean place to change into a robe and slippers i wore my clothes the whole time i had to walk on there dirty floors after getting a pedicure. while getting my nails done our view was a very dirty window. then when you go to the bathroom it smells like urine terrible.now I'm ready for my massage she had 2 lamps on so bright i could read a book.she didn't wash her hands they didn't even have a sink in the room .i had to ask her to change the towel that my face was going to be touching.i couldn't get comfortable or relax there was cobwebs every where the blinds were broke to where they had day light shining through. it look like someone spilled something all over the blinds .i guess the owner lives like this at home if she thinks this place is clean.for the price of a day of beauty.she should be able to at least have someone to come in and clean.and if she already has someone FIRE her.now its time for our lunch. we got put in a dirty and cold area.the table was dirty there was a dirty pitcher of water on the table we couldn't get ice with our soda they couldn't even get our order right .they bring your food on open plate walking it threw a every body standing around.for $30.00 you get a dry sandwich no chips a plate full of lettuce they call a salad and a can of soda no ice.DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME!

To put it bluntly, this place sucks! I am from a suburb outisde of Philadelphia and this place is NOTHING like any spa in our area. I don't even know how they call it a day spa - it is so not. It is filthy dirty (GROSS), the employees are rude and the atmosphere is nowhere near being spa-like. Now I know why you can't find any pictures of the place online - because it's a crap hole! I went with 3 other women and we all felt the same way. So it's not just me. I don't know how they're still in operation - I guess the health department hasn't been in there recently. I will NEVER go back there again - a dumpster is probably more sanitary. If I could post ZERO stars then I would.

I had gotten a Massage/Facial Package today and i feel amazing. My massage was with Yori who did an amazing job. I love deep tissue massages and he really made my back feel so much better. My facial was with Erica and she was the most knowledgeable Aesthetcian i have ever been too. My skin looks fabulous. The experience was really great and i would recommend anyone to go. My only complaint is the waiting area...it is a very small area, but you are only waiting there for a few minutes. Overall it was great! I will be returning next month.

6/3/07 I surprised my husband with a facial and back waxing for his birthday at lynn's Day Spa he had no idea what he was getting. Guess what I got surprised with a service I didn't ask for. Brittney(receptionist) explained that the instructions were for a facial(correct) and back aera (what ? ) I didn't know Lynns' had a service that stated "back aera. Brittney said there is nothing that can be done and I'm stuck with a charge of $120.00 which included a $10.00 tip to April. If there is no service that lynn's provide "Back Area" why wouldn't someone question this before proceeding. The front entrance, aera is too cramp/small and if its too many patrons the line is going to be outside. The Customer service I experienced today 6/3 was horrfic. There is no customer service recovery for this surprisingly well rated day spa. I've been to many dayspas and thought since this one has been rated soo well let me give it a try never again. Step outside of Howard County and theres a whole world of top rated luxious spas with open, friendly, waiting to pamper your for as little as an hour or more. I'll continue to enjoy the spas I've been going to. This was my husband's first spa experience and he did say the facial was good but she talked too much this spa is so so so overrated.

I have mixed feelings about this spa. Some aspects of it sucked. The waiting area and the cafeteria style drinks did not make me feel very luxurious. I felt like I was in a cheap motel even with the peaceful new age music playing. The building itself looked like a cabin/lodge. The staff dumps all their dirty towels on the floor in the laundry room near/right outside where the clients wait.
I don't understand why they do this. It is a day spa but the presentation/ambience was anything but.
They have a lot of staff working/walking in and out so it was very mass production/assemblylinish.

The girl who did my pedicure was kind of gruff. Instead of telling me to move my foot this way or that way she just did it for me really gruffly. She did a decent pedicure and did a good leg massage. She must really hate her job, I think. I had to wait a long time between my pedicure and my massage...like over half a hour...they should have scheduled me better. When I finally did my massage...the masseuse wasn't very talkative or warm but she did a very good massage. She had very strong hands and I felt relief and relaxed afterwards.

I thought checkout and the receptionists was ok. I would probably go back again if I was desperate for "womanly maintenance" because the prices were decent. However, I wouldn't go there as a treat for myself. I'd find another place that was nicer/posher and had better service.

I took the day off from work for a series of appointments that would total to about three hundred dollars in services and gratuities.

When I arrived, no one greeted me. They instead stared at me while taking appointments on the phone from other clientele. After about five minutes, one of the two people minding the phones asked for my name and which services I was there to receive. I was asked three or four times to spell my last name which is five letters long and very average American in sound. When at last I got tired of watching the receptionists back, I went and sat down on the couch nearby.

Another thirty minutes passed and I went to the desk and listened to another woman I think it was the owner of the spa - talk on the phone to a technician who didnt come into work. It took her five minutes to finally address the customer sitting in front of her.

She asked me several more times to spell my name and asked me again which services I was there for. She eventually asked me if I could wait two hours for my services to start. When I inquired what I was going to do until then, hoping she would arrange a more prompt appointment for me, she replied quite remarkably, You can help us do laundry.

I remarked that I didnt think that her suggestion was funny and left the building.

Interestingly, if customers fail to show up for appointments, we are charged a partial fee, but if shoddy clerical assistance allows an appointment to go unregistered or to be cancelled, the customer is given nothing but rudeness in return. Success has made the proprietors of Lynns Day Spa arrogant and rude enough to insult long-time customers. In doing so, they have lost my business.

I went to Lynn's Day Spa after receiving a gift certificate. My massage was fabulous by Lisamaya. However the facial was mediocre. I put my clothes back on between services because it was frigid in the waiting area. My manicure and pedicure was rushed. To make matters worse when I checked out, I was almost overcharged for having my eyebrows waxed which also weren't great. The TEENAGE check out girls had no concern of my issue of being overcharged. I would only recommend this place for a massage and only if it is during the weekdays, because I heard that it is a little better and maybe you can get a true hour of any services.

Going to Lynn's has some very blatant pros and cons. Its convenience can't be beat- they can usually fit you in for any service at any time on relatively short notice. The staff is polite and prompt. However, as someone else mentioned they tend to cut appointment times short. Also, while some staff seem to be well trained and knowledgable, others seem quite unskilled and inexperienced. Sometimes the front desk staff is rude. Overall, Lynn's day spa is OK but there are much better options in the Baltimore and Columbia areas.

My husband gave me a $250 gift certificate, so I used it for a series of facials. The woman who has done them is out of this world! Although, once she was not there and another woman did the Perfect Peel facial and burned the hell out of my face, I was red and peeling for about four days, but I think that is the excelption. Atmosphere is great, except for the snotting receptionist girls who work in the evenings, they ruin the experience every time I check out. If it wasn't for the fabulous staff doing the procedures I probably wouldn't go back. A bad experience at the end is what lingers.

Cons: Receptionists, Expensive

The technician I had was friendly and the massage, wonderful. Prices are in line with other spas in the area. The staff is helpful and courteous. The website was easy to use and also helpful. The atmosphere is pleasant, although not as spacious as some of the resort spa's I have visited, but this is only Columbia!

I treated my sister/maid of honor and myself to pedicures at Lynn's Day Spa just before my wedding. I'd never been to a day spa before and was expecting something stuffy. On the contrary, this day spa felt cozy and comforting. Everyone was friendly and helpful. My pedicure was so relaxing, and the nail color lasted for weeks, even after a week at the beach. As with any day spa, the prices are high, so it's definitely a splurge. But great service, I can't wait to go again!

I paid for a one hour massage that ended up being only 40 minutes long. When questioned, I was told they have to factor in "dress time." The staff at the front desk did not seem concerned that I was not pleased with my service. The massage was mediocre at best. The place was quiet, but not at all pleasing to the eye.

My therapist sent me here as part of my treatment to get me to relax. I must say it was a very good idea. I got a generous rub down once a week for about two months in a tranquil, serene atmosphere. One time my regular masseuse wasn't there and I was subject to a very rough, medicinal massage by someone with a different style, but that can easily be avoided by telling the staff what you want and then finding someone to take care of you on a regular basis.

My cousin and I were searching for a local spa and was referred to Lynn's. We both received the hour massage and hour facial. The massage was good however the facial was excellent. This was my first facial because I thought that only people with skin problems got facials. I was so wrong. My facial was so relaxing and just an incredible experience. This is a highly recommended service.
