DO NOT SHOP AT URBAN POSTERS. THEY ARE THIEVES.

by Ed R.

Kevin, here's a newsflash. We all know you wrote your own review to save your hide. Here's the bottom line:

Kevin: You and Urban Posters steal people's money. You have screwed over hundreds and hundreds of customers. Your name and reputation is MUD. Check out the real reviews and thousands of complaints in better biz bureau. You aren't a little late with projects,You are generally more than 6 months late if you don't steal custpmers' money altogether. FYI: your work is awful. Get a life. Develop a conscience. Don't pretend your something you're not. You're a THIEF and SCAM-ARTIST.

Best picture framing out there

by kevin r.

They might take a little longer then stated. But I talked to them about what makes their picture framing different then others, First things first, they only use wood, no cheap plastic frames passed off as wood. They also use glass for all in store frames instead of cheap plexi and they mount your pictures so you will never have to see a wave or bubblie in your photos.

A long story short if you have a picture that means a lot to you, get it done using the best methods and materials. You want it to look good for years not months.

Add My Experience to the Horror Story

by Adam S.

I placed an order in late november of 2007. it never came. when i called they said it would be delivered and it never did. now when i call the number is disconnected. when i email there is no response. this may be the worst company ive ever experienced in all my life. and that defensive testimonial by kory is a joke because im here writing this review about how i never received a refund or any contact about my order. I DONT EVEN WANT THE DAMN POSTER ANYMORE! I JUST WANT MY MONEY BACK! We should find a lawyer to file a class action lawsuit against this company because this is fraud. plain and simple

DO NOT EVER SHOP HERE!! DO NOT EVER GIVE THEM MONEY

by Joseph B.

Read the many reviews. They will rip you off. Their customer service is so bad it is a joke. Some guy Kory should be arrested for what he's doing with people's time and money. Kory: if you're reading this---you will fail. You will fail in life. You will fail in business. You cannot treat people this way and get away with it.
Costomers: NEVER GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY, YOU'LL NEVER SEE IT AGAIN.

As others have said, avoid it like the plague.

by Matt G.

I placed my order last Christmas season, 2007. They promptly charged my card and never sent the poster I ordered.

I called at least seven times and actually spoke to someone once who promised to refund my money but never did.

Urban Posters, Baltimore represents the one and only time I've ever had trouble shopping online.

Simply put, they stole my money and will likely steal yours too. Stay away.

By the by I finally finished reading 'Kory's' review about resolving issues within 60 days. They didn't.

rip off poster company

by kathy g.

I read Kory's review and why doesn't he mention who we can call to get either our poster or our money returned. They are stealing from all of us and should be held accountable.

1+ Year Later, My Order Is Still Not Complete

by Scott S.

I ordered four posters on May 30, 2007. Two of the posters arrived three months later and did not receive the third until the following January. One year and a month later, my fourth poster is not on my wall and is likely not ever going to be. After repeated calls and emails with no answer, I finally talked to Kory and said it would be shipped...that was March. Never order a product from this company for they have no intent on ever being a respectable "business," and business is a highly generous term to describe Urban Posters. I attempted to not choose a rating for negative stars do not exist, yet I was prompted to select at least one. I feel one star is overwhelmingly overdeserving. This is Scott Stacy and I pray this illegitimate company and prospective buyers read this.

We stand by our work, and are working to solve our issues.

by Kory M.

To all future, past, and current customers.Urban Posters has been in business for 9 years, and 7 at our current Fells Point location. During this time we have satisfied over 60,000 online orders and 3,000 in store orders. We have always worked hard to improve our service in both areas of our business. That said, the year and a half has presented us with unprecedented challenges and struggles. Our business is extremely tied to the housing market b/c simply put, new houses equals new pictures. We have seen a huge drop in volume similar to the downturn in the % of homes sold. The economy has been hard on many small businesses, across the country, and ours is no different. We have been searching very hard for solutions to the problems that have mainly started from our online division, but over the last year trickled into our brick and mortar store and caused timeliness issues. As of May 1 Urban Posters Fells Point will be under a new ownership group. You will see a renewed commitment to timely and quality work. As always, we stand by all our work, and if its not right bring it back and we will fix it. Mistakes happen, and we have never told a customer we won't fix it. If we don't know about the issue, we can't fix it.As for the Internet, we have converted the website to an affiliate of a larger company. We handle website maintenance and marketing, they handle all fulfilment and customer service issues. We simply couldn't handle the supply chain issues as a huge supplier unexpectedly shut down, leaving us scrambling to clean up the overwhelming supply chain mess. We are a small company, and the customer service issues just kept piling up and we simply didn't have the resources to handle it any longer. The website was very successful for 7.5 years with generally good service levels, but the last 1.5 years was simply too much and required a different approach to how we do business. We never intended or sought out to have our customer service deteriorate to such a pathetic level, and this mode of action has fixed that issue. All orders will be shipped or refunded within the next 60 days. We deeply and sincerely apologize but we simply got caught in a "perfect storm" of macro-economic conditions coupled with industry specific issues that we simply couldn't handle efficiently. In conclusion, we have screwed up, but we have also satisfied a lot of customers from our store. We are initiating a program in the Fells Point store to promote to our customers to post reviews on this site and others. The thing about these types of sites is typically the people reviewing are a dissatisfied minority. You are simply more motivated to review something you are upset about. It takes energy to post reviews, and it feels like energy more well spent when you feel you are stopping a bad experience from happening to someone else. We look forward to enabling our satisfied customers to share their experiences with you too.Thank you for taking the time to allow me to explain what we have been going through here at Urban Posters, and on behalf of my past partner, new partner, and myself, we look forward to completing this turnaround and satisfying 1000's more customers in the upcoming years in Fells Point.

Bad customer service and poor work

by jenny H.

This place is terrible! Never return phone calls or emails. It took them 6 months to frame a piece they quoted 2 weeks for. When all was said and done, it was a crappy job with dirt under the glass and the border cut crooked so it moved inside the frame. I live outside Baltimore and several times I stopped by and they have the sign "back in 15 minutes". Each time I waited for >30 and they never returned! Then when they were there, they couldn't find my piece in their messy store and said they would mail it to me. That took another month! Don't waste your time or money with this place.

Buyers Beware!

by Anonymous

I ordered posters from Urban Posters and they charged my credit card and did not deliver the posters. They have repeatedly ignored e-mails and voice messages. They have a slick looking website, but they seem to employ the practices of common thieves! Buyers beware! This is the first time I've been scammed by an Internet "business" and now I will be sure to always check out the BBB and web reviews before purchasing on the web. I urge anyone else who's been scammed to report them to the Better Business Bureau and the Maryland Attorney General.

Stay Away!

Don't ever give these crooks business. I Order a few posters end of Dec. 07. They never shipped. I called and asked for a refund in January 08, they said okay, and never credited my account. I call and nobody picks up the phone. They don't respond to email. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They didn't respond to the BBB either. I am still in contact with the BBB. If urbanposters has ripped you off, I urge you to file a complaint with the BBB. Get these f@#$ers shut down!

NEVER BUY FROM THESE GUYS....EVER!!!!!

by Andrew K.

They are totally unreliable. This business is ALWAYS very late with getting things done, and when you waste your time and stop in there, it's always another excuse about why the stuff isn't done. They charge upfront, make excuses, NEVER bother to call and tell you something is late. DO NOT PATRONIZE A BUSINESS LIKE THIS. There are other options. These 2 guys have abslutely NO customer service.

It's been TWO MONTHS now and still no reply or print...

by Leslie N.

I wish that I would have seen the other 5 reviews back in December 07' when I ordered a poster. I was so happy to see that Urban Posters had a print that I had been looking for for a Christmas present. I made sure to order in plenty of time before that day. A few weeks would pass and I still hadn't received the poster. I called and spoke to Kevin who assured me that I would receive by the 24th of December. Christmas came and went -- I still didn't receive the poster in the mail. I called countless times trying to get someone on the phone -- all I would hear is a recording. I emailed countless times as well. To this day (31Jan), I still have not heard anything back. -- I'm definately not a happy customer and hope that something is done about Urban Posters business in Baltimore.

DON'T BUY FROM THESE GUYS

by Andrea C.

I live in Baltimore and walked into this place and purchased a canvas print in August. It was to arrive in 2 weeks. After 3 weeks went by with no contact, I went back in there (coincidentally, another couple was in there complaining about a 2 month wait). I was told that there had been a problem with the actual printer but that it would be ready the next week. Well, another 2 months went by before I could get over there again. This time Kevin showed me the print and admitted it was bad. It was terrible so, at that point I requested a refund. Kevin said he didn't know how to do a refund on a credit card (must be tough to be the owner of the business for years and lack this fundamental skill) and that I would have to call Cory, the other owner the next day. I did call Cory and he was indignent when I requested a refund. Don't know how this place stays open, except for scams, because it is in a high rent tourist area of town. My credit card is fighting it now. I am thinking of other ways to protest the absolute worst experience I have had since moving to Baltimore - normally known for mom and pop local establishments known for their character and good business practices. Think I may picket the joint.

I've heard of internet shopping horror stories

by Anonymous

But I've never encountered one before. Until now. And I'm still keeping my fingers cross. I purchased about eight posters and thank God I didn't chose to have them framed. I should have received my posters in 2 weeks and it's been over a month and I have not heard anything from them. I try calling the listed phone number and they just give me the website which solves nothing. I'm starting to believe that I've been scammed. So if you are considering purchasing anything from this company - don't.

Unethical Business Practices

by Anonymous

I placed an order with this company, my account was charged, and I never received my order. I contacted Urban Posters on several occasions, via email and phone and was told my order would "arrive shortly". I eventually requested a refund and now three months later I have yet to receive the poster or a refund. I even contacted the Better Bussiness Bureau and Urban Posters never responded to them either. I wouldn't recommend dealing with this company as they have not behaved in an ethical manner

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

by ACK13

BRING YOUR BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! these guys will waste your time and money, and are not good or their word. Always 3-4 MONTHS late on any project, and unless you like calling every day for weeks or badgering them in the store for months, you'll never see your pieces again. Look at the BUSINESS BUREAU, there are over 200 horrible complaints against them. DO NOT BRING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY TO THESE GUYS---they'll keep it for months, and you'll have to go there for months to try to get it back. Go to a reputable place where they give you a deadline and stick with it. The owners think their time is MORE VALUABLE THAN YOURS IS. DO NOT USE THIS STORE, YOU'LL REGRET IT IF YOU DO.

Pros: relatively nice guys

Cons: everything. bad service, unreliable, slow, indignant when you ask for stuff back

Hope you have a lot of time.

by asylynne

The guys in this shop are very nice. However you must pay up front and you may not see your item for more then 2 months. My husband had a poster to be framed, they had it from November until late January. I had to go into the shop everyday for four days before I had the poster back! I would be much more comfortable if they had a half the money up front and the other half on the delivery policy because I believe that is why it takes so long to get your item back. They already have the money! I was very unhappy...hopefully they will become more organized and deliver on a better schedule because the job was well done.
