They are fantastic. Brad, Larisa and the rest are a pleasure to deal with. They are honest, fair, knowledgeable and will assist you in everything automotive. My mother used them for years and when we got a Volvo we started 4 years ago. We now bring all our autos (2 Toyota's and a Nissan). A good honest mechanic is worth their weight in gold and can work on any car.
Visit their shop you will be happy.
I have been taking our Volvos to Volvo Specialists since 1978 when they were located in Bethesda. I bought my first Volvo from them in 1978 for $1500 and drove it for 5 years. It was a very clean car with low mileage. Ever since, I have been their customer with my Volvo and my three children's Volvo's for 33 years. (My wife thinks Mercedes are better but she is wrong. (again!)) I have all of the Volvos serviced with Brad and even buy used Volvos from him if the need arises. Now in Rockville, Brad, Larisa & Company always explain my options, the costs and why a repair is needed. They have always stood behind their repairs if there has been any problem. I have found that because they specialize in Volvos, they are prepared with anything that might arise. I think you get a much better value here than the dealer. Very convenient to Rockville Metro also.
5 stars I have dealt with Volvo Specialists for about 10 years now and I can't begin to list all the times when they have "been there" for me and my family. Brad is not only an expert technician, but an honest and decent man. He and his staff are just professional and knowledgeable. There have been times when I really could not financially afford to do what needed to be done and Brad always found a way to make it work out. Never has he steered me wrong.(pun intended). If you want the RIGHT answer, go there but be prepared for the truth, no matter how much it hurts. (haha).5 stars
Read the last comment and went anyways b/c of the good ones and am happy I went. They actually have a woman for a mechanic! Larisa is very nice and straightforward, I don't have any complaints. The owner, Brad, is also very nice and seems very honest. They did a great job for a greatprice.
They are great! I would reccomend anyone to go there. They will work on any make and model. Brad (the owner) Larisa (their tech) and Nghiem are all fantastic to work with. They have been honest with me and I dont feel like I am getting raped, like I have at other shops. When my car wouldnt start, they went the least expencive route first to try and save me money. They are friendly and have fair pricing.
We haven't been in the are very long, our last trusted mechanic died suddenly and we had no clue where to go. We were very lucky to meet Brad outside of "the business", but quickly found that here was an honest, straight-forward businessman/mechanic that we have complete trust in. If you need work done or an honest opinion of your vehicle's problems - this is the place to go. BUT - it's a tie - trust AND great service/quality.
I am a new customer who heard about the shop from a friend. I am very happy with the service and price (beat the dealer by a few hundred $'s). I also feel I finally found an honest mechanic, Brad (the owner) is a very nice guy and straighforward. I'll definatly be back!
Owner Brad Walsh can quickly analyze you problems with his 30 years of experience as a master automotive technician.
American cars, foreign cars, classics, hot rods.
Can't afford everything at once ? Brad will tell you what you need and what can wait. I have been very happy about the quality and cost of Brad's work. Straight shooters.
I heard about the shop from a friend who swore the owner was very honest and charged very fair prices. I just stopped in to take a look and met the owner Brad. He was very nice and looked my car over and even replaced a brake light for me I didn't know was out. He wouldn't take any $. I came back and had a service and work done for a very fair price. My car drives like new! I will definitely be a long term customer.
