Competency versus personality
by rebekah m.
I am a clinician and she is my primary and endocrinologist. I do not like or appreciate having to wait an hour or more to see her . With that said, Dr. Morrill is about as competent as they come. Although , eccentric to the majority of the populace, riding a treadmill during a session, does not constitute an inquiry or suspension of licensure. As you look for a Doctor, please try to remain as objective as possible. Be informed. Understand that the reviews are written by people who have issues with her personality. You may as well but that is in no way, defining of her abilities to perform her duties. Her persona that some have mentioned irritate them because she speaks on a personal level is the same that many appreciate and like about her. Again, this is about personality preference NOT medical competency. In fact, she is a rarity in Western Medicine, because she is constantly reading the latest of medical research, and because she is a Primary, this means, she has to read a diversity of articles, including endocrinology, internal medicine, nutrition, neurology, etc, etc, in order to recognize her patients issues and refer them out if necessary. Many on harsh on her eccentricities, but doctors are under appreciated. They work 12 hour days treating patients, then they go home and read on the off hours to help them stay up on the latest research. If she chooses to ride a treadmill, so she doesn't die young treating others, during her 12 hour session, which she is probably making a concession to see you during her lunch break, then let her- as long as she is continuing to demonstrate her aptitude of multi-tasking successfully, then it is then , your choice, whether you are choosing to see her or not based on your personal like or dislike. Just recognize the difference between personality and medical competency. Please, give our doctors a break.

Morrill Ann C Md is one of the "best" choices I have ever made.
by Theresa C.
I needed a new Dr. since mine of many years moved to NC. My aunt had been going to Dr. Morrill for years and spoke very highly of her.
I decided to go with a Dr. Morrill. I had not felt well when I left my old Dr. but nothing came of it. I was just told I had anxiety.
Thanks to Dr. Morrill who sent me for the right tests I found out what I had. The radiologists were seeing the worst but she kept me positive and she even took my call at home when the radiology center sent a notice saying it was most likely cancer. She talked me through it.
I do have a disease which is not as life threatening at the moment.
My husband and my MIL now go to her also and love her.
I feel totally confident with her as well as comfortable.
I have never had to wait "too" long to see her.
I had been to other Dr.s offices before and know what it is like to wait "too" long. I also know what it is like to have a Dr. push you in and out quickly and that is something I can't understand anybody wanting from a Dr.

Unprofessional
by baltimore h.
UNPROFESSIONAL. I have waited over 2 hours after my appointment time to see her. I have scheduled an appointment with her, just to be told after I waited an hour, that I will be seeing the PA. I scheduled an early morning appointment for her to be an hour late to the office. I am never called about test results and often need the office to track them down because "they must be on a big stack on her desk." She has yelled and screamed on her cell phone while she was in the exam room with me. She spends more time telling me personal stories than talking about my health. She now makes you come back ever 3 months for prescription refills. Even on standard prescriptions most doctors would give for a year. Before you see her, you need to see an assistant who types in your symptoms in a computer. On multiple occasions, they had computer troubles, or pulled up the wrong patient! She is very bright, and I have given her multiple opportunities because of that, however, I just do not think I can go back. Last time they checked my blood pressure and it was elevated. I told them that if they did not put me in a stressful situation of waiting for 2 hours, then maybe my BP would be normal.

Morrill Ann C Md is -0 stars!
by sheila f.
amen to stephanie P and anomyous. since she threw me out of her practice for complaining that one of her unprofessional staffers never called to give me a test result I am with a new practice. my new doc has undiagnosed many of the issues that morrill diagnosed and treated me for. yes, she frequently rode the elliptical machine during a visit. a fifteen minute exam was 14 1/2" about her and no chance to explain your reason for coming. several times she sent me off in an ambo never to follow up with hospital. yikes...run for your life, seriously. i have been sooo much healthier since she fired me as her patient. Oh, the shouting and door slamming the fighting with her brother who worked there. phony compassion, she only liked you if you were willing to lidten to her tales of woe. she brought most of her issues on herself. i diagnose a good psych exam for Dr. Morrill. flee

Stay Away from Dr. Morrill
by Stephanie P.
Continue your search for a Dr. Dr. Morrill runs an unprofessional office and is unprofessional herself. One appointment leads to 5 more, and she requires appointments when they are not needed. As a result the wait time in her office is out of control. On average the wait is an hour and a half. I have waited up to 3 hours. She goes off topic during her appointments and on several occasions has started searching the web during my visit to show me dog breeders or ways to spy on your children. She requires a visit for prescription refills...even if it is something like birth control, and she only gives refills 3 months at a time. If you need a form filled out to say you dont have any impairments...she will require an visit. She requires visits when no medical advice, tests, or examinations are needed. She is out for your money. I had called to get test results of a CT scan of my neck and was told by the teenage receptionist that I had arthritis. Being in my late 20's I was concerned and asked if I could have Dr. Morrill or a nurse call me back to discuss what that meant. And guess what I was told....I needed to make an appointment. The office is a RIP OFF. Continue your search for an honest, understanding and professional Dr.

Morrill Ann C Md is average
by Joe S.
Seemed ok as a doctor (though I do have a little trepidation of doctor's who are overweight). Office feels drab, run down and dirty or at least in need of a deep cleaning. Nothing gets done quickly (phone calls returned, billing questions answered etc). Have been once and do not plan to return.

Life Saver
by Anonymous
I have been a patient of Dr. Morrill's for fifteen years or so. On more than one occasion she has diagnosed a problem and actually saved my life twice that I know of. She sends me for tests whenever she is suspicious with any problem that I might have. On one occassion, she did not like how the PSA went up slightly at one time so quickly, and sent me for a biopsy which showed that I had prostate cancer in 2000 and I had a successful operation and now I have a clean bill of health.
She has been treating me for high cholesterol and recomending medication as well as fish oil capsules. That has brought my cholesterol and triglycerides in a normal range.
She also diagnosed me with sleep apnea through a Hopkins sleep study. They placed me on a cpap machine which alleviated the problem.

A Doctor with Wings...
by Anonymous
Dr. Morrill has been my doctor since 1990 and has taken me through a traumatic episode in 1996. She saved my life and became my angel here on earth and has pulled me through many crisis. She has been there whenever I needed her, morning, noon and night. I have called her at home and she returns my calls and is very empathetic, caring, and the angel of mercy that I know that she is and I thank God for giving us such a wonderful doctor here in Perry Hall.

Wonderful, dedicated and caring!
by Jan V.
Dr. Ann C. Morrill has been primary care physician to three generations of my family, helping us through a large variety of medical issues, from life threatening conditions to minor complaints. We have never been disappointed in her level of care. She is one of the most intelligent and diligent doctors I've ever known.
I have a medical background as a respiratory therapist and have personally known and worked with many doctors. I chose Dr. Morrill to be my doctor because of her stellar reputation and dedication to her patients.
I recommend her to all who are seeking an exceptionally fine doctor. She constantly works to improve the current and future health of her patients. She also prides herself on keeping up to date on the newest advances in medicine, something many doctors seem to neglect.
Dr. Morrill is also easily accessible. I don't know of any other doctor who gives patients her personal email, home phone and cell phone numbers, which allows them to contact her directly for any really urgent problems, even after office hours.
I never mind if my appointment runs a bit late. I know she is taking her time with her current patient and will do the same for me as soon as possible. She has never rushed me out the door, and will always take the time to answer questions. (I usually have quite a long list!)
My advice to anyone considering Dr. Morrill's practice for themselves is to go and meet her. Don't take the opinion of an anonymous reviewer as fact! Judge her yourself after you've made her acquaintance. I'm certain you'll become one of her life-long satisfied patients just as I am.

Would Not Recommend This Doctor
by Anonymous
Total chaos and mass-confusion in that office!!!! Dr. prescribes way too much medicine and unnecessary testing. You have to sit in the waiting room forever, and once you do get into a room, you still have to wait. Talks more about herself then your medical need. I would not recommend this Doctor.

Worse doctor ever
by Anonymous
Dr. Morrill is unknowledgeable about her practice. She will shove pills without a proper exam and take useless blood samples. She rides her treadmill in front of her patients and leaves without notification for personal events even when there are several patients waiting in the rooms. I always receive notices about her over charging me for my co-pays, even when they are several years later. It is like she wants to receive more money from me even when I haven't gone to her in 3 years! She's irresponsible and needs to get her license suspended until she can properly perform her job well. I do not recommend this doctor!

Dr Morrill has been my dr for 12 yrs, my kids' dr for as long as they have been adolescents, and my son in law's dr since he married my daughter. She is kind, caring, and very thorough. Her motto is "life is too short to suffer" and if something might be serious she wants to have it taken care of right away. We can always count on her to ease our suffering during illnesses. My family and I highly recommend Dr Morrill. She is a sweetheart, and her office workers are always kind and helpful as well.
