St. Louis Church is a very large (5,000 families) congregation, suburban parish. Its roots go back to the beginnings of the Catholic Church in America and Charles Carroll of Carrollton, the signer of the Declaration of Independence. It is a very wealthy church with a large outreach program. The church is very generous with its wealth. The parish has 65 active organizations that are sure to provide something for just about anyone.

There are 5 Sunday masses, with the largest attendance being at the 9:30 and 11:15 services. The folk group plays at 9:30 and the classical choir, at 11:15. The church has a magnificent organ!

Due to the size of the parish, some people feel it is too large and cold. However, if you join one or more of those 65 organizations, you will find the opposite to be true.

This is a fairly traditional Catholic church with many members who have been attending for decades. The congregation is very large, and there are five masses each Sunday, along with one on Saturday night. Each mass features a different type of music: choir, guitar, organ, etc. The 6:45 a.m. mass has no music. There are two buildings, the main church, a bright meeting house type building, and an older chapel. Both have gorgeous staiined glass windows and are filled with light. Masses are traditional, and most attendees are fairly wealthy and conservative, although it is becoming slightly more diverse. They're in the process of building a new church, so parking can be a hassle if you come late.
