We heard of Towson Diner. Hadn't tried in a while and decided to give it a go. We had a few minute wait to sit down because of the crowd. BUT IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT!! Breakfast is the time we went and let me tell you something. Everything

We have been a few times, just when we were starving and it was convenient and we always swear we will never return. The food is greasy and bad and rarely made the way you ordered it. The waitresses are rude and bad at their jobs. The only positive was that the manager was quick to refund our money when it was clear that we were going to call the Baltimore County Health Dept. if he didn't. Oh, and don't forget the flies everywhere, they helped to create quite a lovely dining experience. Skip this "restaurant" unless you are drunk at three in the morning and don't care about food or service.

Hello everyone. I just wanted to say that I moved here from NY the home of the Giants Yankees and THE DINER...and The towson diner has become my home away from home. The food is excellent. I love the burgers, soups, and the shrimp salad. The only thing that kills me is the wait on the weekends... the place is packed..... I guess its a good thing ! I love the diner its a great place !

My friend and I were taking some classes at a nearby school and stopped by the Towson Diner every Thursday after eating. We did not have one good experience in our 6(?) times going there.

The hostess was always very rude to us and acted as though we shouldn't be there. We only had one good waitress, all the others were very slow. The food is okay, but takes a long time to arrive. The cheesecake is the best (although expensive, but pretty large slices). When we went back the last time though the slice was half the normal slice and I refused to buy it - so do watch that).

There were many times we had to track our waitress down to get our check, or even a refill. One time my friend asked for dessert and got icecream, which came in a cup. The next time she asked for the ice cream to be put in a bowl and the waitress took about two minutes trying to figure this out. The icecream arrived in a cup. She again requested a bowl, so the waitress, who huffs and puffs, finally takes the ice cream away and reappears with the ice cream on a plate. (WTH?)

There was also the time our waitress never asked us if we wanted dessert, so we had to go up to the hostess (remember how nice she is?) to get a dessert menu and then our waitress was angry because she had to return to us.

Then there was the time where the waitress ran over to the table after we got up to see what kind of tip we had left. We were paying with a credit card, so there was no tip on the table. She then joins us at the cash register and after I hand the credit card receipt to the hostess, the waitress takes the receipt from the hostess and looks at it before we?d even left the place. How tacky!

Very bad service, no bowls to be heard of, and attitudes from employees every where you turn. If you want an experience you'll always remember, then certainly, go one time, but if you want good service, pick someplace else. It's been over a year since we've gone to the Towson Diner.

Pros: Great cheesecake!

Cons: Service is **terrible**, waitresses, hostess, everyone.

Yuck! Icky food, bad waitresses, dirty restaurant. Eat here at your peril. There is nothing good about this place, unless you are too drunk to notice what you are eating.

So this past weekend we were out and about doing some shopping for some minor home improvements and wanted to get a bit to eat. We didn??t want to wait in line or have some supper heavy meal so we decided to give this place a try. It wasn??t packed but it also wasn??t empty. The atmosphere was your typical diner feel with its crisp and cool colors and nostalgia.

My Husband got the baked meatloaf with 2 sides (mashed potatoes and broccoli). It also came with a side salad. The meatloaf severing was huge with about 4 large slices of meatloaf. He didn??t finish the sides that came with it. Hew said it was Average/Good.

I had the deluxe Gyro (pronounced yee-roh). It was filled with rotisserie meat (usually a mixture of minced beef and lamb), tomatoes, and onions, along with a yogurt-based tzatziki sauce (made with Greek-style yogurt, diced cucumbers, dill weed and a small amount of vinegar) then all wrapped up in a pita. It was then served with a Greek salad and the typical side dish of a Gyro- French Fries. Their version of a Greek salad had the lettuce (a Greek salad normally doesn??t have lettuce- except in North America) plus chopped tomatoes with a few slices of cucumber, and red onion, seasoned with salt, black pepper, and oregano, feta cheese, bell peppers, kalamata olives, and dressed with olive oil and vinegar based dressing with various herbs and seasonings.
The Gyro was pretty good (even though it got messy towards the end). My husband and I both agree that this place has some great fries- they were cooked perfectly (a crispy bit with the inner core smushy) and weren??t over slated and didn??t have an over bearing oil taste you get sometimes!

We both noticed the dessert cases when we came in and thought we would try something. When I asked to see the menu the waiter suggested the easiest thing was to just get up and look- which I am glad I did? too many choices. The guy that seemed to be the owner was sitting at the counter while I was looking and he offered to help me out and took me on a tour of the desserts. There were all types of things to choose from, crme pies, cakes, baklava, turnovers, pies, cookies, tiramisu, etc. I felt a bit over whelmed- in the end I ended up with a slice of Banana Crme Pie and the thing was huge! We couldn??t finish it and the waiter and the owner laughed at us when they bagged it up.

Overall, the service was great, the food was good and the atmosphere was pleasing! I will be going back!

Pros: food and drink available 24-7, maybe people into BDSM lifestyle would enjoy the service

Cons: the food, the service, the FLIES

If you like slow service with an attitude, pricey food, and management that refuses to believe that you found two flying insects in your food, then Towson Diner is the place for you. The barely understandable, hothead, foreign manager literally got in my face and told me that I was crazy, and that quote "His restaurant does not have insencts." The people in that place dont know what customer service is; I wouldn't go back to that place if you paid me.

I have always been happy visiting this diner. I have heard other people give not so great reviews but I don't understand it. They are a little more pricey than some other diners, but the quality of my meals has always been great so to me it's worth it. Sometimes they are crowded with students from Towson U. but diners are always crowded with students. I think the restaurant itself is very clean. I hate diners that have that thick, greasy feeling in the air, or are too smokey. Towson Diner has a smoking section but it seems to be ventilated well because I've sat in it with smokers in my party and it hasn't bothered me that much. Like any other diner, they do a good job with burgers & fries and breakfast dishes. I don't usually like sausage, but I like their breakfast sausage links. Not too greasy or overly spiced. I am a big fan of their Greek salad and their spinach pie. Very flavorful and fresh. It's also one of the few diners in the area that is still open 24 hours, 7 days a week.

The food at the Towson Diner is fantastic. The prices are a little high, but still reasonable for the quality of food. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the service is hit-or-miss. I'll do the nice thing and leave out the waitress's name that I'm referring to, however, she is always there and always crabby. It's quite a shame, I actually have to request to NOT have her section when being seated. Otherwise, the place is worth it.

It's hard to knock Towson Diner, especially when you consider its competition, or lack thereof. The food is good, the place is always clean, and there always seems to be a ton of cars in the parking lot at all times of the day and night. It was one of my favorite spots to hit after a hard day of shopping at Towson Town Center.

went here on 2-14-2002. it looked nice from the outside- it was anything but. overpriced by about 70%, we found the food to be mediocre at best. the service was so-so, even though there was no crowd. how could there be? i'm sure the locals know this is an unaffordable waste of one's hard-earned cash. i mean, who wants to mortgage a pancake?

Food is good, though the service is usually a bit slow. Then again, at 3AM, who's in a hurry?

The shiny chrome facade and a retro turquoise interior complete with boomerang pattern draws a crowd to this, Towson's de facto town hall. Morning, noon and night, the food is always fresh and plentiful, from the most basic ham-and-egg…
