Dr. Tehrani has been an excellent dentist for me for the past 9 years. She has state of the art diagnostic services and a great chair side manner. I started sending my wife to her too.

Let me tell you my story.. I had 4 wisdom teeth extracted on 6/14/08 My insurance company is DELTA dental.. she is a participating provider.. well the charges came to $1,800.00 a little bit more I'm just rounding off.. now out of that my insurance only allowed $1,170.00 of that so per her contract with Delta dental she was suppose to write the balance off.. now my insurance company paid $887.00 and I was left to pay $298.00 only do you know she SUED me for the amount she was suppose to write off.. she WON the reason she won is because i did not hire a lawyer. A lawyer would have coasted me much more than she sued me for.. but my insurance company provided me with all they thought i needed. which was the EOB and the bill. and it also stated that we both have contract with Delta dental and per my contract I was to only pay the $296.00 but she WON.. I have filled for an appeal because this is not right I know I'm not wrong.. My Insurance company has my back and is helping me fight this all the way. I have reported her to the BBB of DC, I have filled a complaint with Maryland state Board of dentistry. I have filled a complaint with the dental society.I am not playing with this Dr. My whole thing is this If she did it to me she has done this to others. I'm not going to let her get away with what she has done to me. Another reason i lost the case is because I have no idea about law. I work in the medical field. so i was talking to a judge that knows nothing about medical only knows the law.. so that's why i lost but i will report back and let you know the outcome of my appeal in the next 2 months if it takes that long.. let me tell yall how she tried to get me from the gate.. so when i went in for the consultation she told me she called my insurance and they told her what my part was gonna be so she told me i was to pay 698.00 so i believed her i wrote the check out to her.. got the work done and went on my way.. I ended up putting a stop payment on the check because I was advised to wait until she sent the claim in and to see what my insurance say I'm to pay.. so the what she did was she called and found out how much was not gonna me covered and she tried to make me pay for it .. it's a shame that she did this.. I don't know why she would put her licences on the line like this because I'm going to fight this to the fullest.. I'm not rich and i don't have money to just give away.. I wonder how many more people she has gotten like this??

I haven't seen a dentist in 5yrs and was going in for my first cleaning in a long time. It was because my company doesn't offer dental insurance so I had to go get my own dental HMO. Dr. Tehrani was very professional and talked me through the whole process always telling me what she was about to do next. The only people working there were her and the receptionist. There's no hygienist. The rooms were very clean and she was multi-tasking by seeing two other patients, one being a child who came in for an emergency because he knocked his tooth loose. I don't think it was a good idea to see 3 patients at once, but I understand about the emergency. She still did a good job on the cleaning. All it cost me was $8 from my dental HMO plan!
PROS:
CONS: not high tech - no LCD screens
