Gunning's Seafood Restaurant

The reviews about the food are accurate, and our bad experience with this restaurant is not entirely the fault of the restaurant, but families should be cautious when taking children here, especially at night. You might wait 30 minutes any night of the week for a table to open up. Half of the restaurant is situated next to the bar, and if that's where your table opens up, that's where you'll sit. That said, we had a table of people next to us who were using very loud profanity. A man a different table, who we did not know, asked that they keep it down because there were children in the restaurant. When the yelling of "F--K" and "S--T" continued, I asked politely that they refrain from using such profanity while children were present. One of the diners said, "We'll try to keep it down, but you are in a bar." So, we left. We had been there at least 20 minutes, after waiting 30 minutes for a table, and we hadn't even gotten our drinks or ordered our food yet, so no big loss. But, if you are an adult and don't mind waiting at least an hour for good food, give it a shot.

Parking is a little tricky some nights, but the food is worth it. Always fresh and excellent. Their mussels are some of the best I've had. Call ahead if you want fresh steamed crabs though, because they often run out. The staff are casual but friendly and tend to be on the ball unless they're swamped.

This place wasn't that nice of a place as far as decor. The food was good but the parking really difficult. I belive everyone was in the bar because no one was at the tables. We liked the food but shyed away because of the parking problems.

Their food is excellent! During football season they have 25 cent wings. The shrimp salad is to die for. They are a little pricey but well worth it. The workers are very friendly.

This is another place I must visit when I am in town. They have the freshest seafood I have ever eaten. Their staff is always willing to go the extra mile to help and serve you. Price are Little high but well worth it. Will go again.
