This store is more of an antiques collective, with many vendors sharing space under one roof (3 stories!). The main floor and top floor tend toward the older, pricey, Victorian-looking stuff, while the basement is called "Decades" and sells the funky mid-century stuff (usually cheaper). There is something here for every fan of furniture with a past.

This is one of the dozens of antique shops in Hampden, and one of the more interesting. A three story shop, it embodies diversity in antiquing, a the complex holds two main stores and over twenty vendors. Downstairs, you will find Decades, an individual entity, while twenty-five vendors take up the first and second floors. These 25 make up Avenue Antiques. Bargaining isn't as easy in this area, as very few of the vendors actually stay at this location. The desk can offer up to 5% off for credit purchases, and up to 10% for cash. Make sure you ask for these discounts, as they won't jump out and tell you about it. As with most antique dealers, this shop has its share of both good deals and not so good deals. As far as its relationship to the rest of the shops on the Avenue, A.A. is about average. However, the beautiful building and air-conditioning make for a pleasant browsing experience.

PROS: Several vendors
CONS: By and large, disorganized, except in individual vendor areas.
