Krugs Place

Krug's is the only place in Frederick to catch some bigger name heavy metal / doom metal / punk bands. Reasonable cover charge, drink prices, and food prices. This place has darts and pool tables, a couple tvs playing your favorite games. And the staff is excellent. The only con to this place is that 18-20 year olds are not allowed entry, and that could potentially raise them a lot of cover charge money cause there isnt much to do in this town for that age range.

I've only ever been to Krug's to see shows, but I can say they have one of the best set ups in the Frederick area for that purpose. Huge stage, dance floor, lighting, and plenty of seating if you just want to sit down and enjoy the music. Only downside is if you want to get a drink you have to go away from the room to go to the bar, and you may miss something if it's a band you really want to see.

This place is good for a night out when you don't want to spend whole lot but you still want to have a good time. The food is good, the people are pleasant and the drinks are pretty good too.

If your a Steeler fan in the Frederick area, this is the place to be. Several large screen TV's and several smaller ones behind the bar. The crew there is outstanding and prices are very reasonable

I live just around the corner from this place and just recently went to it. We came in as an older couple to play some pool and darts and felt comfortable there. The drinks were not expensive, and the pool table rates were cheap. There is a couple of tvs in the room, and that was good also. We ate a couple of times here and the food they give you is really good and plentiful. My favorite was the crab soup. They said they had the best in town and they weren't kidding. This is a fun place to go if you are going out with friends and no kids.

PROS: Fun, good food, pleasant staff, not too expensive
CONS: Smokey from the cigaretts.
