at a low cost. This place is really unique. You get all the wonderful tastes of other places but you don't pay high prices for them. They have brunch too! The chef owns this place so there's a vested interest in getting the food just right!

Message from Brasserie Monte Carlo

Worked in Washington's best Restaurants and Hotels(Willard,Watergate, etc) some I found very "stuffy" Opened a Fine Dineing Restaurant without Dc's prices and stuffiness. Mortgaged my house and decided to open my first restaurant in Downtown Bethesda in 2000. I am still here. A little tough like everyone else. But I have maintained my quality and standards. In 2009, I made the menu slightly "Economically Friendly" I mostly buy from local vendors. Lately, I will even barter fresh herb's for glass on wine. I grow my own Heirloom Tomatoes every year. I have lasted 10 years, due to the loyalty of my customer's. Only I order and inspect all my food. I am classically trained in Switzerland. In my younger days, I worked in kitchen's like; Jean Louis Palladin, Michelle Richard, Jeff Buben and even le Auberge Francois. My background originally from Goa. But I am all American.Every sauce has drizzled upon my palate! Do I work 7 days a week not anymore. This is when my crew comes in, the have been very loyal to me since day #1! In my kitchen I also get externs that come in from Europe or even the Acadamie down the street. One of my mentors told me 'If you cook with true Passion it will show on the Plate" This mentor also told me if you overcook the lobster one more time, I will throw it at you...!

More about Brasserie Monte Carlo

Reservations are recommended, especially on the weekends. I am popular for my brunch on Sat and Sun. I do a lot of catering on and offsite. We do close the restaurant for private parties max 48pp. When the economy comes back, I will start doing wine dinne
