After spending hundreds of dollars and four round trips to Ikea in an attempt to resolve an issue with one of their wardrobe cabinets, we are extremely upset and frustrated.\r

On April 29, 2009, I decided to surprise my husband with a brand new designer platform bed for our bedroom. The saleslady was almost certain that the bed would more that likely fit in our car. Once, we arrived at they were front of the store and actually got to see the actual size of the boxes, we knew instantly that it was not going to fit in our car. We were given a couple of options, one in which we definitely were not going to consider. we were told to have everything delivered for 100.00 dollars only after paying 400 for the bed frame and slates. We made an agreement with management to come back and get our paid merchandise being as though we would have our suv. The very next day, it was a terrible storm, and we did not want to risk carrying anything on top of our vehicle, so we decided to return the next day. The very next day the store manager called us to let us know that they were refunding our money and the items were being put back in stock. Now, this doesn't sound that bad does it ? Well, would u believe it if I told you that we were told that any store bought item would be held at a storage cost of 20.00 per day after if the merchandise was not picked up. In addition, to that the store manager was very rude and nasty, and even accused me of lying about the thunderstorm that took place on the evening of my original pick up date. This so called manager even went out of her way to ask one of the employees in the background if it indeed rained or not, and felt stupid when the person confirmed that it did rain. After, hearing all of this I was highly upset with her and made a conscious decision to make noise about the whole establishment. We live in a very crucial time and I think that it is very imperative for businesses to keep all of their customers. At this point, I will not recommend anyone to shop their because of the experience we had. I have been shopping at ikea for over ten years and one incident has cost them a customer. Today, is April 28, 2009 and we are going to pick up the merchandise and this will be the last time that I return. To sum it up, I don't recommend this place to anyone who cares about customer service support.

We shop at Ikea often. I have purchased a set of everyday kitchen dishes, which are great. I have broken a few and am thrilled that I can go back to the store and buy individual items to replace.

We purchased a kitchen table and chairs - very inexpensive - which is great for our children, because the table and chairs take a beating - and are still holding up well. We know when we have to replace it, we can do so cheaply.

I love that they offer such a wide variety of items for such a fair price. I have purchased many kitchen items there. And, they also provide lots of great storage solutions, which is important to me, a mom of three children.

I do agree that the layout can be confusing and difficult to navigate...but overall - this store is FANTASTIC!

When I came back the item was returned back to the stock. No complains were accepted the clerk told me this is a policy of the store that all items not attended even for the short period of time is restocked for the resell. Writing to IKEA HQ didn't help either. What you think is it a still or not?

Cons: They try to make profit using any trick possible barely legal.

Overall I had a wonderful experience at this Ikea, however I found this location to have a more confusing layout than any other ikea I have ever been too? I thought that they would all be set up somewhat alike, so it would be not as hard to navigate, but I guess I was wrong!?!?

Some of Ikea's furniture is very cheaply made and not worth any price, but a lot of it is really well made and a great value. The shopping experience itself is a lot of fun and provides great ideas. Ikea is practically a rite of passage for college kids, and still provides a lot of great ideas and accessories for more settled adults.

Not having a lot of money to spend on furniture, Ikea seemed like a Godsend to my wife and I, with their affordable particle-board furniture and reasonable prices. However, there is a catch, and a big one. After you pick out your merchandise, you are required to go looking for the part(s) in a massive warehouse, all of which have different manufacturer names and colors which means finding the appropriate bin and row. The specifications on the furniture items in the showroom are often misleading and leave out a piece of vital information, such as measurements, color, and parts needed. The real nightmare begins when you get home and have to put the furniture together. It might be a little easier (for me) if the instructions had words, but the instructions are written in pictograms with a little man assembling the stuff. If I was a caveman with a carpenter's apprenticeship Ikea might work better for me.
