Just visited this establishment recently and am extremely disappointed. While the idea is great, the place is a train wreck.... All the toys look as though they were purchased at a yard sale for a dollar, almost every toy is missing 80% of the pieces, carpet is filthy with dust, crumbs, and Lord only knows what else along the edges, bathrooms are unspeakable, and I wouldn't doubt if the toys have been sanitized since the place was taken over. I believe there was a change in ownership a year or so ago in which they had signs hung stating they were under new ownership and were cleaning, painting or improving the place, however I haven't seen one improvement done to the best of my knowledge. All in all, while kids truly enjoy this, not sure it's worth the price and germs you??re exposing your kids and self to.

I'm begging, someone please buy this place out and dump a little money into it as I truly think it's a great investment but needs some serious cleaning and perhaps a little updating. Great potential!!!!

When we first moved to a new state, we began looking for fun indoor activities for our two sons - both with Autism. We found Playwisekids and thought it would be a great place. It wasn't.
It was gross. Nothing was clean. The carpets and floors were dirty and gross. The walls were disgusting as well. They toys look like they 20 years old - not well kept or cleaned ever. I was horrified. I let me kids walk around for a little while to explore and give this place a chance. They were only interested in the firetruck, tractor, and ambulance. It wasn't visually stimulating at all. It was cold in the building. The employees were rude, to say the least. It was NOT worth the price they charged. I left and never went back. It's gross!!

We just had a really disappointing experience with Great Kids Village/Andie's Parties for our 5 yo son's BD party. If you are considering a party here and expect a fun, structured event for the kids, you will be disappointed. 1) Poor cleanliness:The place first of all, smells like a farm, although there are no animals supposedly on premises. When we first walked in, noted dirty carpets, and thought it would be cleaned prior to our party, but it wasn't. My younger son had a chair in party room with caked on icing. 2)NO structure: The people running the party were not engaging the kids into doing the activities. The activities for the train theme were boring for the kids. The most fun the kids had was the pinata, but of course leaving them with sugary treats that no parents want their kids to have. The party room was never made clear to all the guests, so kids were wandering over the whole place, and some never made it for pizza b/c they don't help identify/round up kids for the party.
Kids have fun because they can run around the place, but the small toys are old and dingy. The bigger things like fire truck and ambulance are cool, but that's about all I can say positively.
In summary, PLEASE re-consider before spending a awful amt of money for poor service, dirty environment, and no encouragement from "party" staff. It was unfortunately an embarrassment for me to have my son's party at this place.

When my wife first told me about PlayWiseKids, I was pretty excited knowing how much fun my two year old son had while he was there. Through his eyes, this place was like a dream. In my eyes, not so much. To start off my first introduction, we went to the counter to check in, only to find that they didn't have record of us paying the initial 25.00 joining fee and 25.00 monthly maintenance fee and of course, no manager on site to help sort anything out. Once on the inside, trying to see it from my son's eyes, this place was great! Lots of sations, a fire truck, ambulance, sandbox, everything little kids love. From the adults eyes, the place was in desperate need of some TLC. From the appearance, very little cleaning, if any at all, had been done, most of the toys were broken or missing parts. the bathroom's were a disgrace. No toilet paper in the stalls, the floors were disgustingly dirty, counter tops and mirrors weren't much better. Thinking that my son had been playing for so long and may be hungry, I went over to the "cafeteria" to find no food had been made or available even though the workers indicated they were opened.
The idea of this place is fantastic. In reality, its a dump.

Great in theory, not so great in reality. The real fire engine that kids can climb on is, no doubt, cool... but also extremely dangerous. It felt like there should be more safety measures in place (slip resistant padding, etc.) Many things throughout are beat up, tore up, used up. Holes in the wall are spackled and yet not painted? Half of the pieces to various things are missing... like balls in the game room, parts to their miniature grocery carts, wheels and other various parts to toys. When I went to the bathroom, I felt scared to change my 15 month old. It's that unsanitary looking. They were out of paper towels and nearly out of soap. Again, this place is so awesome in theory and my 1 and 3 year old did have a lot of fun... however, due to the fact that I have to actually pay money to enter this ghetto joint, we probably won't be returning unless there's some new management that understands 1) cleanliness 2) stock and 3) in-tact toys/play things are the biggest when it comes to this sort of establishment.

We went there the other day with several children and this was my second time. Our first was bad but i thought i would give it another try...bad idea...the place was just as filthy as the first time...the bathrooms are so gross..the toys and furniture need a good scrubbing and for Pete's sake get more supplies...like the ones they sell!! The computer lab is a joke..out of 4 only 1 works...toys are broken..the ball crawl is so sickening!!!! The floors...holy cow...strip and wax them they are so nasty. Art supplies are pretty cheap and they had like one glue stick 3 pieces of yarn 2 pieces of paper and 3 foam letters..whoopee!!! When asked about more supplies they said they had none...yeah right...its called laziness. Don't go here

I recently went here with my 16 month old and husband. First off, this place is pretty expensive. It cost $16 for admission but I thought it would be worth it for hours of fun. Once we entered, we realized the place was filthy and completely disorganized. The carpet was brown, the few toys they had were broken or filthy, and kids were running around completely unsupervised. I would not recommend this place to anyone!

This place makes kids go wild with excitement. It is a huge indoor play area that has everything! Just a few of the activities offered to kids are a real fire truck to climb on, a gigantic indoor sand box complete with a row boat smack dab in the middle, a puppet theater, ambulance and doctors chairs, a two story climber with ball pit, a child-size classroom, and the list goes on and on. You could spend days here and your child would not run out of things to do.
They have a small cafe that is not open often, but they welcome you to bring food and eat it at the cafe tables when it is closed. They also offer birthday parties and an after-school drop off program. The only problem is that it is a little pricey for families with children under four because they cannot get the full benefit of all of the play areas offered.
I would recommend this play area to anyone looking to provide their kids with an unbelievable time.

I had to pay $29 for two toddlers to play for 1.5 hour, because I also brought a babysitter with me. I asked the owner if he's sure that I have to pay for the babysitter, he said yes, I said that I don't think it's fair, he replied "Ok" and walked away for me. Last time my friend invited my girls to her son's birthday, there were only 4 kids total - her so, my girls and another girl. My friend didn't want to order a party, just paid admission fee for everybody. We called them in advance to make sure that cafe is closed and we can bring our own food. When kids finished playing we went to the cafe and pulled out sandwiches, juices, paper plates with Thomas (boy's favorite character) and I brought a tiny cake decorated with Thomas theme as well. When the owner saw us, he came and asked to leave, because we didn't buy a birthday package. I begged him to give us a break, that we had no idea, it says that we can bring our own food if cafe is closed etc. He said that we have to wrap it up really quick, like 5 minutes or so. The very first time I met the owner, we tried to find a free parking space, it was pouring and I had all 3 babies in the car. All disabled parking lots were free, but the regular ones all were taken. I decided to park on disabled unload the babies and live them with the nanny inside, than come back and move the car somewhere else. As soon as I parked the owner parked his car on another disabled lot and told me that I can park all the way behind the building. I said that I have 3 babies in the car and it's raining he said that there's a door on the other side too. I drove all the way around and parked there and we used the back door. But when we where ready to leave he didn't let us use this back door, he said that we have to walk all the way around the building, and it was still raining. I've been there for a birthday party as well. You pay lots extra for pizza, chicken nuggets and that's it. There's no entertainment program for kids or anything.

As soon as my boys and I arrived around 12:30 I noticed that stuff was everywhere!!! There was a train track set there but unfortunately we couldn't find any trains to use. The place is pretty scarce with not a lot of activities to participate in. The only plus I recognized was the sandbox. Most of the children were in there. I was highly disappointed in the bathrooms. They were filthy and disgusting to say the least. I packed our lunch thinking that we would eat in the cafeteria...big mistake. It was extremely dingy. I can't see how people continue to patronize this establishment.

I just had my daughter's 3rd birthday party at Playwise Kids today (1/26/08) and it was horrible. Their website states that they provide a "party hero" to guide the children through the various activities, but, unfortunately, our party hero was miderable. She obviously did not want to be there and it was clear that she did not like being with the children. She hardly engaged the children at all and there were times when we didn't even know where she was. There was no structure or organization to the activities, so for most of the party the parents and other adult guests ended up chasing 12 pre-schoolers as they scattered in various directions throughout the facility.

Everything felt very rushed, including our time in the party room. The staff in the food court were appreantly just as rushed because they could even give a brief smile to any of guests and they acted as though we ewre bothering them when we asked to purchase additional pizzas.

While I was trying to help my daughter finish opening her presents, my party hero came for me to pay the bill. I tried to hand my credit card to the party hero so I could get back to my daughter's presents, but she quickly told me that if I was going to pay with a credit card then I had to leave the party right then and go back to the front of the facility to pay. While I was gone, the staff apprently cleared out my party room because when I returned my guests were already leaving. I didn't even get to say goodbye and thank many of the parents who came.

I tried to express my complaints to the manager as I was paying my bill, but he seemed uninterested. His only outward reaction was reaching out to take my credit card. When two other parents and my fiance also tried to register their complaints with the manager, all he said was, "I'll talk to her" - meaning the party hero. There was no other acknowledgement that we were obviously unsatisfied customers. It was a horrible experience that left me crying on the drive home because I felt like I let my little girl down on her special day. I can gurantee that I will never return to Playwise - and neither will my guests since most of the children go to the same daycare as my daughter and their parents were just as disappointed.

Pros: Variety of activities

Cons: Horrible service

.

Great place to take your kids to play and make believe. The staff is very friendly and the place is clean. Lot's to due for kids of all ages.
Price is pretty fair since you can go back at anytime that time.
I like that they have a cafetria but it seems to always be closed whenever we are there.
Kids love it there, great place for birthday parties or a rainy day!

PROS: Fun, safe, clean, friendly staff
CONS: Prices they offer could be better

Playwise kids, formerly known as Exploraworld, offers a large number of activites for toddlers and young kids. Kids can choose from over a dozen play areas, and can color pictures, build with large, soft mats, pretend to drive a firetruck, play dress up, or go shopping, among many other activities. There are a great number of ways to exercise creativity and imagination through play, and the creative wall paintings add to the experience. There is also a cafe area where you can heat and eat your lunch, or order from a small selection food during on weekend days. Playwise kids also offers parties and has a small store of creative toys.

Unfortunately, as fun as Playwise Kids is for children, there are a few negatives that bother me everytime I go. For one, there does not seem to be any straightening done during the day. If you get there first thing in the morning, everything is neat and organized. However, if you arrive late in the afternoon, the place is a mess. You will be greeted by toys and dress up clothes all over the floor, shopping carts on the other side of the building from the grocery store, and a craft area with paper and glue everywhere and minimal (if any) supplies. I have noticed that my daughter enjoys her playtime there much more when the place is orderlay than she does when it looks like someone went through dumping everything they could on the ground. Another problem from the eye of a parent is that it does not look like playthings are regularly cleaned or fixed. There are often areas that look obviously dirty, and the sandbox is always full of sharp, broken plastic toys. Also, I have noticed quite a few outlets uncovered, which seems unsafe in a place that is geared toward young kids.

Exploraworld is a huge warehouse type building set up with different play areas. There is a sand area, dress up area, weather station and tv area, medical, and even a real life fire truck - there are many more areas also. I like the open space so you can keep an eye on sets of children - helpful especially with different age groups.
I've had birthday parties there and the kids absolutely loved it. The party wasn't anything spectacular but the kids were never bored.
In addition, it is great because parents can really get it and play with the kids. You can dress up, paint, build with the kids.
If you are a stay at home mom or daycare provider go during the week not as crowded!

If it's a rainy day and your kids are a bit stir crazy, Exploraworld is the the place to be. Good selction of gross motor skill play areas, and well-secured so you don't have to worry too much about your kids wandering off.

Exploraworld is unique in my experience. It is the size of a large warehouse and has discrete play areas demarcated by low walls. Areas include a full-sized fire engine, a store, a huge indoor sandbox, and a dance studio. There is a small cafeteria area but don't rely on it - the hours of operation are erratic, though there are vending machines available. They offer fun birthday packages, as well. Exploraworld is a great option for bad weather days!
