Dear Roozen Family & Staff,

I have been coming to your nursery for 19 years. The quality of your plants and lawn materials have kept me coming back to your business rather than going to the discounters.

The courtesy of your staff and their knowledge of your products makes this an ideal place for the novice gardener.
Thanks again,
Bob the pharmacist

This is a "MUST SEE" for any serious hobbyist. I first visited Roozen's back in the late 90's and always visit when I'm in the DC area (which is my native hometown). For starters, their prices are comparable to any online discounter or depot. They have a very friendly and courteous staff, the livestock (fish and invertabrate) are always colorful and looking healthy. The fish are always well fed and eating. Before I started my reef, I bought fish and drygoods only and was truly impressed with my products. I will be in town to visit family and will take advantage of their good prices to buy again from them. Again, if you are in the DC area and are a true hobbyist, this is a must see and visit store!

I was in charge for some volunteer work that our office does a couple times a year. This year we went to a school and cleaned up the courtyard. We wanted to buy the school flowers so hired this company to take care of everything. The people here are great and the courtyard looked amazing when they finished.

I orginally stopped at the Roozen Nursery & Garden Center when I was looking for a good set of shrubs for my backyard. I had heard their commercial on the radio and was impressed. Their service staff is excellent. They are very knowledgable about the plants there and were able to explain to a novice how to plant the shrubs and keep them healthy. The prices were more reasonable than I originally anticipated. Great service!

Wow, this place is pretty large. Since I'm into both garden plants and fish/aquaria, this place is perfect, I wish it were located on my side of the beltway (it is far away near Andrews AFB, and so not the type of place I'd stop by every weekend). I go more for the SW fish than the plants. They have a good number of tanks, none of them "display", but there are weekly direct shipments of marine fish & inverts from all over the world, so there's always something new to look at. This is where I purchased my great little octopus, which has been doing quite well over the past few months (my second one... years ago, purchased it from liveaquaria.com). Rare finds such as those are not available from many LFS, so it's a place to check out for the serious marine hobbyist... plus, pretty good prices. My one complaint is that they don't quarantine, so I would suggest you do it in your tanks, lest you start a bad chain of events in your reef tank. Often, the fish are already stressed from having to deal with international shipping.

Otherwise, highly recommended, at least for a quick look.
