I have proof that the Shockley Honda service department ripped me off on Monday 4/1/13. I brought my accord in for the 150k inspection. They charged me to replace the air filter and cabin air filter and for a tire rotation. The funny thing is I changed the air filters and happened to rotate my balding front tires to the rear and the rear tires with good tread to the front the week before. After I picked up the car I was able to confirm the tires with the good tread were in the front and the bald tires were in the back. I looked that the manual and confirmed that tires are rotated from front to back and not left to right. This proved Shockley did not perform the tire rotation. I'm also mad they changed my for air filters I didn't need and labor on top of that.

I had service done at Shockley one time before that and they charged me for a steam cleaning they didn't perform. When I called back to tell them about it they said it wasn't true. I had to drive to the dealer to show them and then they got the tech to admit he hadn't do the work.

When I called in to schedule the repair this time I told them what needed to be done. When I brought the car in I had to explain it again all over. And then when they had the car the called me to ask what I needed done. Why can't they take down the info one time?

I thought this was an isolated incident but now I see a pattern of ripping off loyal customers. I bought my car there and expected a lot more out of Honda. I like Honda cars but at this point I'll never deal with Shockley Honda again.

I recently purchased a 2013 Honda Fit from Shockley with salesman Jonathan Price's help. Shockley gave me a great price for the car, which was under MSRP. Additionally, Jonathan understood that I wanted to purchase the car under the soon-to-be-ending Honda financing offer. As a result, he and his manager were able to get the exact car I wanted, from another dealership in fact, in just under 48 hours!

I had a wonderful car buying experience and expect the same for all of my regular service from the friendly staff.

Coy was very attentive and he worked with me to find the exact car I was looking for. I have purchased 3 cars from Shockley, and all were great experiences. I highly recommend Shockley to anyone looking for an outstanding car with exceptional service to boot.

1.I let Bill, the salesman, know I would be shipping the car to Saudi Arabia soon and wanted to make sure it was mechanically in good shape. I specifically asked about the timing belt, brakes, and transmission. The differential service and battery service were listed on the car fax report. Bill asked for Steve Trimble??s input on this information and Steve agreed to check with the mechanics. He came back and reported that the transmission fluid would be replaced, the brakes were good, and that the timing belt could not be inspected as it was internal to the engine. I asked him if there was a computer read out from the maintenance minder system, or an exterior inspection that could give me an idea of if it had been replaced or would soon need to be replaced. Steve said that it is not possible to know the condition of the belt without disassembling a large portion of the engine (water pump, pulleys, belts, etc). I asked him what the standard milestone is for replacement in terms of miles or years. Steve did not know and did not ask the technicians. I sensed he was irritated with my continued questioning and wasn??t interested in researching the issue with the mechanics.

I asked for a second opinion at another Honda dealership one week later. The mechanic there pointed out a small leak visible from the base of the tensioner bolt advising it was a sign the bolt and belt are reaching their maximum life expectancy. I asked him if there is a standard for replacing timing belts and he said between 60,000 and 90,000 miles and that delayed repair could result in complete engine failure. I found this same recommendation on Honda??s website (ahm-ownerlink.com)

2.The two front suspension brackets had cracked seals with black fluid leaking from them. The driver??s side shock assembly was bad.

The total repairs for the two items above was over $2,500. I asked Shockley to reimburse me their costs only for these repairs and received no response.

3.The car was not ready for sale. I called at 9am the day I purchased the car and was advised the car was on the lot and had not been sold. It was listed on the dealer??s website three days prior to my call. I arrived at 1:30pm and the car was not ready until 7:30pm.

4.??New? tires were installed to pass Maryland inspection. Shockley installed off brand tires over five years old (I should have checked the date before driving an hour home). Standard warranty for tires is six years so I??ll probably end up sinking another $500 in this vehicle over the next few months.

My recent trip to Shockley Honda was hands down the worst service experience I have ever had at any dealer or mechanic, ever. I asked for a few very specific repairs and was quoted a price of a few hundred dollars. What the tech did not tell me was that this estimate was for "diagnostics", not actual repairs. This seemed very shady as I knew what the car needed when I made the appointment.

This work was supposed to take a few hours, but after more than half a day of waiting, I was told that Shockley did not have the parts in stock to make the repairs. The tech also told me that the car needed a few thousand dollars' worth of other repairs - some of these I believe the car needed, some it did not. I'm not sure exactly how much they wanted for these repairs because the tech refused to give me the estimate. I asked for the written estimate and was assured that I would be given the list before I left, but he never gave it to me. It was at least $2,000, possibly more. It included some big ticket items and lots of little charges of $25-$100 that looked bogus. I already had a very bad feeling about Shockley, so I told the tech that I wanted my car back without the repairs. I had already been in the waiting room for several hours and from the point where I told the tech to give me my car back, it was another 1.5 hours before it was ready for me to leave.

It was an absolute waste of my day. I spent a few hundred dollars on diagnostics that I did not need, and Shockley did none of the repairs that I took the car in for. The next day I took the car to a different shop and had all the work performed that the car needed for $650.

Shockley has a bit of a bad reputation, but I had a good experience buying my car there a few years ago, which is why I took my car there to be serviced. I will not go back again. If I need work performed by a Honda dealer in the future I will try the dealer in Hagerstown or Westminster.

Bought a 2012 CR-V EX AWD and couldn't be happier. I shopped around, getting a bunch of prices, & Shockley matched my best offer. Since the price was as good as I could get (and a really good deal), geography was the deciding factor. We live in Frederick and with the extras that Shockley offered it was a no brainer. Bill Collings was a pleasure to work with, and found the exact vehicle we wanted within 24 hours. This CR-V is the car my wife has been dreaming about, and the whole purchasing process couldn't have been any smoother.

I took my Honda Odyssey to the Shockley service department because the side doors were experiencing an intermittent electrical fault causing them to fail to operate. The initial reception was fine, but they subsequently told me that they could not recreate the problem and therefore couldn??t fix it. They did, however, try to sell me another $2000 or so worth of unrelated maintenance I didn??t ask for. I did buy about $700 worth of maintenance that I knew was needed since it was already in the shop. The real problem occurred when I picked up the vehicle and found it had a cracked windshield. I had just had that windshield replaced about three months earlier due to a rock chip, so it was practically brand new. The service rep told me that a technician had let an air hose get away from him in the shop and that the hose had struck the vehicle, but they didn??t know if that crack was there when I brought it in or not. I assured them that it was not there when I brought it in. The crack was in the extreme lower left corner of the windshield. The service supervisor insisted that the crack was caused by an impact from the inside. I pointed out that at that location, there is less that 2? of clearance between the glass and the dashboard, so one would have to try very hard to cause an impact there. That theory was ridiculous. When I told him it was a brand new windshield, he then insisted that the crack was caused by improper installation and that a temperature change had caused stress that caused the crack. He basically called me a liar and insisted that the crack had to have been there when I brought it in. He told me to call the windshield installer and tell him he installed it improperly and that if he didn??t replace it, then Shockley would. If you were the installer, what would you say? The crack was shaped almost like a bullet hole and was clearly caused by an impact. I had already been called a liar and he wanted me to accuse someone else for Shockley??s damage. Long story short, I paid the installer for another windshield. This lack of professional integrity and customer service is about the worst I??ve seen. I??ve made my first and last trip to this organization. I??ll never darken their door again either for maintenance or especially for a car purchase. I would advise anyone who will listen to avoid them at all costs. If I could give them less than one star, I would. By the way, the doors still don??t work.

My daughter had an afternoon appointment for an oil change. Marty Harlow and crew took care of her 2009 Fit quickly and with no issues. Sometimes we overlook it when you get service as expected but that's why we keep going back to Shockley.

I was in the market for a used VW Jetta. I've purchased six used cars in the past and have never had an experience like this. The salesman who showed me the car was helpful. After test driving the car, I noticed that a panel had been replaced, even though I was told the Carfax was clean. At that point one of the managers came over and tried to tell me that there had only been paint work done. First lie. When it came to negotiating a price, the salesman said he didn't feel there was much wiggle room on the price, and deferred to the manager, Steve. The asking price was $10K and I offered Steve $9K. Steve told me the price was non-negotiable. When I said I had never been told that by a used car dealer and asked why, Steve looked me straight in the eye and said he was selling the car at a loss! Second lie. I explained to Steve that I was not an idiot, and that businesses do not exist to lose money. Steve then produced a file card with typed numbers that purported the dealer payed $8800 for the car, and spent $1700 on repairs.(Remember, supposedly no accidents - that's a lot of money for only "paint") Third lie. When I asked to see the original paperwork on their purchase I was told it was "unavailable". Fourth lie. I reiterated my incredulousness over his claim that the dealer was selling the car at a loss. Steve said "the used car business has changed". I responded sarcastically, asking if that meant lying was now acceptable. Steve stared. I then walked out.

Shockley has went downhill. Dealt with some blowhard named Charlie Benson. He was arrogant and acted like I was doing him a favor by shopping here. Don't go to Shockley they are truly why dealers get a bad name. Owners don't seem to care either. No response from numerous emails. Won't buy my 8 th Honda from these jerkoffs.....even though I live in Frederick.

i made an appointment for an 8:30am oil change. I dropped it off this morning at 8:30 and came back at 4:30 this afternoon to pick it up and it was not done yet. I know that it does not take 8 hours to do an oil change at jiffy lube. It certainly should not take 8 plus hours at Honda.

Jan, 2011. I read the reviews and am frankly shocked and dismayed by what people have had to say. I just purchase a 2011 honda fit. Recieved an online quote from Juan. Went in the same day to test drive (by myself) and had my trade valued while test driving. Came back and made the deal. They came in low on my trade in but I was able to get them up to a fair price without much fuss. Very happy with them and would recommend to anyone.

Arrogant staff and "owner's son". Expressed interest in a used car (anonimity is important here) and was fairly pleased. They first showed their attitude when I pointed out that their Certified Used car had paint work done on its quarter-panel.

Then came time for the trade appraisal. A few year old car... they came in THREE THOUSAND LESS than Darcars and others and when I became red in the face yet still calm, they pulled $1,500 out of their behind. Then I was told that, and I quote, "Your car (trade-in) will end up as a taxi cab or something Lost all trust at that point. Told them that I was honest about the history of my trade and that I am done. They asked what they could do for me and I replied with "just give me my keys.:

I have a huge respect for what car salespeople have to put up with every day i.e. rude customers, time wasters, long hours and nasty bosses. However, I don't respect ones that write me off at the very start. I don't look my age and sometimes it results in a lot of discrimination.

As Honda's are becoming less attractive, so do their dealers.

My wife went to get a new key cut and programmed for our Honda Odyssey (I gave her a new/spare Honda key blank to bring to the dealer, I programmed the remote myself). Customer service said the key probably wouldn't work; so they sold her another one for $50. They then cut and programmed both (as well as labor for the additional key); both keys worked just fine and continue to do so.

The quoted 30-40 minute wait ended up being 2.5 hours. They took longer because they checked everything on the vehicle, which is fine - but was not communicated and made for a very hard, long visit trying to entertain a 1.5 and 3.5 year old in a car dealership.

The inspection report came back with some items that needed attention, one of which was the rear brakes were low (they measured the pads on all wheels). The next day, I went to replace the rear brakes and found that the lugs were way WAY over tightened. So much that it broke the wheel lock trying to get it off. The wheel lock's outer edge broke off inside the key (!), and is a clear indicate of over tightening. I tried the other lugs as well, and found that I could only get them off with a breaker bar. I could not remove them with the wheel wrench that came with the car. The service manager agreed to replace my lock nuts, and felt he was doing me a favor which in reality, should have been the bare minimum to break even. This was even after I explained that they were the cause of the damage of the part they had to replace.

This, tied with a very condescending attitude from the service personnel to my wife, made for a very disappointing first experience with this dealer. The 'female friendly' stickers touted at the shop are not accurate.

I will not be back; and I urge you to be very wary of this service department.

OUTRAGEOUS Service Repair Costs - I was quoted 675.00 for a part that I was able to find on the web for ONLY 49.00, which is around a 1,500 % MARKUP - God knows what labor charges they would have dreamed up.... Shockley... you REALLY suck!

With NO OPTION of installing a re - manufactured part given, the total cost of repair would have exceeded $1,000 - just for a power window that is stuck in the down position - give me a break Shockley!!!!! ... and actually HONDA Motors in general for your piss poor customer service! - Considering that I bought the car from you, and I also bought another Honda, a used CRV from the same dealer, I would have expected a BETTER deal. . . a MUCH BETTER DEAL!

I WILL NOT BE BUYING ANYTHING else from you, or have either car serviced by you - after this ATTEMPT 2 RIP ME OFF BIG TIME

With business practices like this, it's no wonder that after buying my 1st Honda ever, and loving it - it may end up being my last Honda ever as well - go figure!

Even though I have been pretty happy with the car in general, and it's done better than most cars that I have owned over the years, A POTENTIAL "LIFETIME CUSTOMER" HAS BEEN LOST because you tried to rob me - yes, a 1500% markup is ROBBERY!

We can't say enough about the personal attention we received from Shockley Honda. We specifically wanted a 2011 Honda Pilot Touring in red and they searched high & low and found one for us! We were in and out of the dealership in about an hour after making the final decision. We are extremely happy with our Pilot and all the friendly, personal care we received!!!

Long story short - they set my timing wrong when they changed my timing belt. It took me returning my car three times to them before they figured out why the car was running rough, stalling and the warning lights were "Lighting up like a Christmas tree". My problem isn't that they screwed up, it happens. It's the arrogant way they treated me, and they have yet to apologize or offer me anything for my having to bring it back three times.

They will never see business from me again and looking at a few of the other comments apparently I am not alone.

I bought my 2006 Honda Odysey new at Shockley Honda in Frederick. We did not buy any additional service warenty packages which may be the reason I wasn't treated fairly there. Shockley doesn't keep more than 1 year records on any service done on your vehicle. Why? The service associate responsed, "we would need a records room as big as our garage" In the digital age I would expect better tracking of work done on your car.
I brought my van in for a diagnostic check because I was hearing a lot of noise coming from the wheels. They found that the front driver side wheel barring needed to be replaced. Also, during their "multi-point safety inspection" they suggested to change, the power stearing fluid, brake fluid, needed a new battery, and the tires needed to be rotated. I turned down all of that work and the wheel baring job because they wanted $380 to replace the barings where I could get that work done else where for $220.
I took my van over to the other shop and that mechanic informed me that I only had 2 lug nuts on my rear tire and my wheel key was missing. The folks at Shockley sent some lug nuts over to the shop but that is it. I wanted a refund on there diagnostic charge because they either removed the lug nuts and didn't put them back on or they missed it in their "mult-point safety inspection". Either way they didn't do their job. Shockley service manager did nothing for me because he didn't think that they did nothing wronge. I couldn't prove anything so I was left disappointed in their service. They may have won the arguement but they lost a customer. I will never do business with Shockley Honda again.

On July 5, 2010, I attempted to but 2 vehicles?.a Honda CR-V and a Chevy Corvette

Honda CR-V even in excellent condition should be around $7500 (price between retail and private party)
It was listed at $7991
Corvette ?? $23500 (again between retail and private party)
It was listed at $25991

We discussed a trade in Hyundia Sonata ?? good condition ?? retail = $13550 ?? trade in good condition = $8825

Let??s do the math ?? 23500+7500 = 31000 minus trade = 22175??I asked for 22k and was willing to go to 23K ?? no discussion was really even offered. I did overhear some salesperson manager asking our salesman, in quite a nasty manner, if we should just get it for free.

The dealership??s first offer on the Sonata trade in was $7800??when the ??final? price came back, the trade in had dropped to $5800

The most interesting thing is that the dealer didn??t want to allow the internet price of $24991 but kept pushing the lot price of $25991.

A 2003 Corvette Z-06 with 31k miles at Criswell is only $27506??.far better model and 4 years newer ?? only $2500 difference?? ??

Bought my Accord from Schockley first time I went to check the pressure in the tires they where dangerously over filled. One tire had 55lbs. of air in it, the lowest tire had 46 lbs. of air.
This could have caused these tires to overheat and explode. TThis is a very dangerous way to deliver a car.

I read the other comments about the dealership. I personally had a GREAT EXPERIENCE with Shockley Honda. In fact they are driving my other car home for me since I can alone to the dealership! (I live 50 miles away!!)

The Sales Manager honored the price quoted on the internet. I could not get a better deal within 50 miles of my home.

No typical car selling gimmicks. Just know what you are looking for before you enter any dealership. It helps keep you focused.

My tip, treat people with respect and trust. Thank you Bill & Coy!!...Bob too!!

Never ever buy any vehicle from these guys. They are jerks. They loot your money. Here is my story. I bought a Honda CRV 2002 vehicle from them. While I was in the process of negotiation, the sales person named Joseph Alan tried to really helpful. But he didn't tell me that the car has issues. After I took the car on Saturday 9:00 PM. I went to them on monday to get the things repaired, they say that the car was sold "as is". No repairs would be done it for free. This is insane. Why would somebody go to a dealer? I went thinking that you would have a fair vehicle. This is not true. I ended up paying 900$ for the repairs on the used car.

Thanks to Shockley Honda??s service department located in Fredrick, Maryland, my wife??s first brand new Honda will be the last Honda I will ever purchase for her. Our experience with Shockley Honda in repairing the passenger door had belittled my wife and me. We are very disappointed, saddened, frustrated, and dissatisfied with Shockley Honda??s decision in not being able to identify and completely resolve our door issue. Because of this experience, Shockley Honda has put a dent into our beliefs of what Honda represents ?? quality, value, customer service, and reliability.

Here is a quick timeline of the events that occurred in trying to get our left passenger door and trimming repaired:

?In March 2010, my wife had discovered that the plastic trimming located on the bottom left passenger door was loose. She also noticed that the same passenger door was not shut all the way.

?We took the vehicle to Shockley Honda on March 18 in which they tried to tighten up the hinges to close the door gap. But the door was still out.

?On March 25, we took the car to Shockley Honda to replace the trim and have the door repaired.

?On Friday March 26, Shockley Honda calls us to let us know that the repair has been completed. I left work early with my wife to drive from Leesburg to Fredrick (30 minute drive) to find out that there is a huge gap space between the end of the trimming and back panel of the car.

?On Saturday March 27, I contacted Shockley and they agreed that the repair was not done correctly. If that was the case, why did Shockley still call me stating that the repair is completed?

?On Monday March 29, Shockley Honda calls us again to let us know that the repair has been completed. Again, I left work early with my wife to drive from Leesburg to Fredrick (30 minute drive) to find out that the repair was still not completed as the trimming was still loose and the door was not aligned correctly with the back panel of the car. Again, if that was the case, why did Shockley still call me stating that the repair is completed?

?On Tuesday March 30, I contacted Shockley again. Shockley was going to have the Regional Manager come to inspect the car for approval to take car into the shop. But the Regional Manager was not going to come until Friday. We asked for a loaner car and we were rejected and treated with disrespect as the service manager called me unreasonable and told us that he was done with us. However, after going to the Sales Manager, we were able to get a rental.

?On Saturday April 4, Shockley stated that the car is repaired ??as best as it can be? and did not need the Regional Manager's approval. We tried to convince the Service Manager to completely fix the door but were denied. They accused us that something was caught in the door, and that this was a ??goodwill fix? from Shockley and was not covered under the warranty. But my wife is the one that always drives the car and we never had anyone in the back seat. Additionally, we know that nothing was ever caught in passenger door. So we took the car back with us, and will plan on filing complaints.

Again, dealing with this dealership was the most unpleasant experience we ever had to go through. I hope this posting will help others in determining where to service, or even considering buying another Honda, with this poor customer service.

I have been a customer of Shockley Honda for at least twelve years. Throughout the duration of our relationship, Shockley Honda has been consistently available for ongoing or emergency services. All employees involved are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They are always willing to answer questions or explain things and are totally customer oriented. Shockley Honda is a great representative of a successful, well respected family run business which contributes generously to the community and provides excellent service to all its customers.

I have been dealing with Shockley Honda for years on our Honda Odyssey that we purchased in April 2007. We get our service work done at the dealerhip and it has been excellent. I have never had to return because the work was not done right. They are a honest dealership that does not attemp to "oversell" me when I go inf for service. I never hesitate to recommend them to family and friends.

Shockley Honda is wonderful to deal with. We have bought 2 Honda's at Shockley and they were extremely helpful. When they didn't have the color we wanted in stock, they offered to sell us the one set aside for the owner! It was in the process of being prepped which made for a speedy transaction and I was able to go home with the Honda I really wanted that day.

Summary: we agreed on a price for a Honda Accord and I paid a deposit. When I was supposed to pick up the car, they told me I had to pay an extra $750. They don't dispute that we had an agreement for the lower price. The details are below.

I contacted the Shockley Honda internet department to purchase a 2010 Accord EX-V6. I was quoted a price for the car and called to confirm the price, financing terms, color, and delivery date. The sales person (Emily Moore) confirmed the price ($22275+ TTL+freight for a total of 23,796 out the door) and financing terms (1.9% for 60 months). When we spoke, Emily told me that she accidentally quoted me the 2009 price, but that she would honor the deal if I made the purchase. I paid a $500 deposit via credit card and she agreed to have the vehicle ready two days later. The next day, I received an email stating they were having trouble finding the color I wanted and I responded with an alternate color choice.

The day that I was supposed to pick up the car, I got a call from Coy Chaney who said he would work on finding the alternate color. Later during the day I was supposed to pick up the car, a sales manager called and told me that the price was going to increase by $750. I later spoke to the general manager (Bill Devine). Bill said he was sorry that they had agreed to the lower price, but he was no longer able to honor that agreement. He said the salesman should not have offered me the financing rate and the price that she did. He told me that I could either pay more or not get the car. Bill stated that Shockley Honda has the right to change any agreement until you drive the vehicle off the lot. You should be afraid to deal with this dealership that refuses to honor its agreements.

After buying my '04 Accord 6 months ago from Shockley Honda
I have had it serviced there regularly. They are worth the extra effort to drive any extra miles. Their operation feels like and performs like a quality family business. Their staff from the sales team (Mike Todd helped me a lot) to the quick And knowlegable service folks (thanks Stormy, Joe S, Chris D) served my needs in a professional manner. They have become our home team and part of our 'family of service providers.

My husband and I love Hondas! We have a Honda Odyssey Van and when my husband was shopping for a truck, we went with a Honda Ridgeline. Shockley Honda Sales and Finanace Departments were terrific! Steve Trimble in Sales was efficient, quick and played no "games" as so often found at other dealerships. We had a trade-in vehicle (not a Honda) and were given exactly what we expected for our trade-in deposit. We were in and out of Shockley Honda with minimal time spent there with our brand new Ridgeline, completely satisfied with the Sales, Service and Financing. We will return to Shockley Honda for our next vehicle, without a doubt!

I just bought a CRV from Shockley Honda, and I got to tell you, it was a great experience...Finally, a dealer that gets it. I was treated with respect, and in and out in a short time. The day after, the sales person called and let me know I could call or stop in anytime if I had any questions about the features of my car, which he had already explained, but just wanted to make sure I understood and could use. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from this dealership again.

My car buying experience with Shockley Honda has always been pleasant, efficient, and well . . . downright "warm and fuzzy". Yes, that's right, I said always, that's because I keep coming back. The salespeople are very knowledgable and not "overbearing" like some can be. I love, love, love my Hondas and have been nothing but pleased with the service I have received from Shockley Honda.

This is my 2nd car from Shockley and I could not be happier! The sales department (Steve) is knowledgeable and found the car I loved (Odyssey). I recently had to take my Van in for maintenance and I can't believe how GREAT the service department treats everyone. LOVE THEM.
ps: GREAT coffee machine:)

I have been taking my 2005 Honda CRV here for years for servicing, despite my mother's strong recommendation against it. She lives in Frederick but takes her Honda all the way to Hagerstown Honda for all servicing, she hates Shockley so much. For me, the convenience had won out over her warnings. NO MORE! The last time I took my CRV in for servicing, they found, among other things, that the O2 sensor needed to be replaced. Because I was pressed for time, and because the check engine light had been on and I really didn't want to damage my car by driving with that light on any longer, I paid the $435 (plus $45 labor when I picked up the car) to have the O2 sensor replaced.

Much to my horror, when I later Googled around to see what an O2 sensor for a 2005 Honda CRV should cost, I found that I could get one online for a little over $100. Even if paying full MSRP, it should be about $269! Not over $400 just for the part! I feel completely ripped off and will NEVER give them my business again.

I too recently purchased my new Honda Civic from Shockley Honda, but I had a GREAT experience! I started my search online, and they gave me timely courtious responses as well as the best deal around. I was able to complete everything ahead of time (either online or over the phone) so that when I arrived at the dealership, all I needed to do was sign the paperwork....

Done. Easy. Loved it.

These are a bunch of rude, dishonest people.I recently bought my car from here...first of all salesman was so rude that my wife and me could not believe it...after the 3rd salesman who was a little older guy came into picture we decided to finalize the deal....after that dealing with finance department we figured out how big of cheaters these people are...they are not credible and fair at their transactions...while making a deal we agreed that dealership will pay tags and title...when i received my cheque...it was only taxes...when i called back..the finance department guy (Dan) blatantly said we had no such agreement and then after talking to my salesman they agreed to pay me the tag fees...i would suggest dont waste time with these cheaters, lazy people with no crediblity...if u'll read the reviews u'll figure out all good reviews are written by their own people...save urself time and energy...there are lot of fair dealerships to deal with...beware...

We took our Accord in for servicing and were given a long laundry list of items that needed to be fixed. We couldn't afford all so asked they cut the list down to the main parts. We agreed to have a belt and one other item replaced. Upon picking the car we were told that the work we had done really didn't accomplish anything since we didn't do everything they had recommended. "So you let us spend over $400 k nowing it was doing no good?". No resposne aside from "we gave you a list of everything that needed to be done".

I asked for the old belt they replaed (due to "excessive wear"). You could easily tell there was aboslutely nothing wrong with this belt. When I pointed that I out I was told to wait for a few mintes (10 minutes to be specific) and then came the response - "it was replaced because it was stretched, not due to excessive wear". Even though that's what it says on their write up! I will never use Shockley Honda again!

Tried to buy a couple of vehicles at this dealership. Despite questionable recommendations from friends, thought I would give them a chance as they are my home town dealer. Had no luck. Mostly due to attitude of sales department. Shockley's sales staff seem locked in the 80s regarding their attitude toward customers. Just getting one to pay attention was unpleasant. Finally packed up and headed to Criswell in Germantown where I did purchase two Hondas. My advice is don't waste time with these characters. You will get better sevice and a much better price elsewhere.

A coworker and I have been using the Shockley service department for some time without too much trouble. However, several recent events has me looking elsewhere. First, I took my Honda CRV in for an oil change. But when my wife and I came to pick it up, it looked like the whole front hood was speckled. I think someone splattered solvent up on to the hood and it damaged the paint job. Unfortunately, neither my wife or I could be sure the damage wasn't there when we dropped it off. I don't think it is likely because we both noticed it right away. Second, my coworker took his honda in for service, only to have them come out and let him know they had dropped it onto its side off of the lift!!!! Have you ever heard of such a thing? Outrageous! They did plan to have the bodywork done at their expense, but my coworker indicated that they were not being as accommodating as one might expect considering they had just damaged the crap out of his car.

You know John R. , I had the same exp with the same dude, he said he was a Honda mechanic prior to being a sales rep there, I think he should of stayed being a mechanic if you ask me, he did not have custmer service skills. He asked me for my contact phone number and I gave him a bogus phone number, I was afraid if I didnt buy the car he would track me down and go postal on me.
Nothing friendly about that guy. He didnt even smile one time.

I went in there to purchase a car and spoke to a salesman name Chris ( very tall & big built) , it was like pulling teeth to get information from him, he acted like I was bothering him , it was so bad, that at times he would just stare at me and say absolutely nothing , he looked pisst off, I tried to be very friendly to him and he just had a angry look, it was such uncomfortable experience , I ended up going across the street and buying a Toyota, if I ever buy a Honda it will never be there

I'm shocked to read the positive reviews of Schockley Honda, and I question whether they were written by actual customers. We had a good enough experience purchasing our 2004 Honda Element from Schockley, but have had nothing but problems with the service department. Shortly after purchasing our car, the windshield cracked. We took the car in, and a service department worker agreed that there was no knick in the glass, that it had not been caused by a rock or object hitting the glass, that it was instead caused by a defect. While this worker was writing up a ticket to have the repair work done under the warranty service, another worker snatched the ticket out of his hands and said, "Sorry, this isn't covered by warranty". After a GREAT deal of arguing, Honda agreed to provide a new windshield, but we were charged for labor. We tried to talk to a supervisor about this, but after standing outside his office for 15 minutes listening to him talk on the phone, we realized that he was not going to make time for us, and we gave up.

Every time we have tried to schedule an oil change for our car, we are given a 2-3 day wait period. I told the service dept person that this was very inconvenient, that the Toyota dealer (Darcars, which has a wonderful service department) always gets us in the same day for our Toyota, the Honda person hung up on me.

We will start taking our car to another Honda dealer, because Schockley is horrible.

I have been taking my Honda here for about 4 years for service. I never feel like I am being taken advantage of. They have a nice waiting area. I do not feel that I am being overcharged for unneeded service. The service has always been quick and courteous.

I bought my used Honda CRV from Shockley and have never been disappointed. I get all my sevice done from there and it is always very painless. If I have an appointment, I drop my car off in the morning, and take there free shuttle bus over to my work. Making appointments is very easy and can be done online. Also, on there website, they have coupons for there services. The sales people are wonderful and not pushy. I even received a birthday card from my salesman this year, and I bought my car there 2 years ago. I was surprised to receive it!

We bought our Honda at a different dealer but when we moved we started taking our Honda here and they are wonderful!! 100x better than our last place! They will schedule you to fit your schedule, you can drop off your car the night before, they are always honest to their word and give you great fast service! We have gone in for normal routine services, Repair services, and even new key making and every time, they have been wonderful! All the employees are nice and friendly, even with my 3 kids running through their showroom! When we are ready for a new Honda, we will definately buy from them. They also always have free coffee!

PROS: Fast Service, Honest Work, Friendly and Helpful Staff

Shockley Honda does a great job. My mother bought her car there and I get my Honda serviced there. They have a very helpful website where you can get coupons and schedule service appointments. It is very easy. They also have a drive in drop off so its very easy to take your car in. If you decide to wait for your car they get it done in the time they say, and even have a kids area where your kids can play and not be bored waiting. There prices are great and they really are a wonderful company.
