I've been dining at Frank's for the past year. I'm really glad that I, decided to stop in and check out the place. The owner (Mari), and her employee, (Charlie) are professional, courteous and dedicated to preparing and serving the best food. The baked Italian dishes are five-star resturant quality. You will be amazed that, most of the Italian dishes were prepared in a pizza carry-out. I always find myself, and my girlfriend getting a bottle of wine, ordering from Frank's and having dinner at the comfort of our home.

Once you have Frank's you will not want any place else, but if you get lazy like me, and order delivery.. you will end up going to Frank's the next day and get a REAL meal. Even if it's a slice or 2 of pizza or an Italian entree for dinner.

Let me challenge anyone, to try and eat a complete Frank's baked pasta dish, which comes with salad and garlic bread. The portions are so much it's almost impossible to finish by yourself.

I have been looking for true New York City style pizza in Baltimore for 4 years now . . . and I?ve finally found it! A couple weeks ago, I wandered into Frank?s Pizza?starving and expecting crappy, overpriced sustenance, nothing else. The owner, her assistant, and one customer were in the place. I was immediately served one piping hot slice of real NYC style thin crust pizza -- $2.10, please -- with just the right amount of sauce, cheese and grease. The people behind the counter were courteous, everything looked clean, and the pizza was just how I remembered it. The owner is apparently from Brooklyn (she certainly sounds it), and tells me she makes her own sauce and dough from scratch. I don?t care where she gets it; it tastes right. I?ve tried to go back a few times since, but their hours are not NY style: 11a to 10p M through Th, 11a to 11p Fr and Sat, Closed Sun. I know, I know. That?s plenty for most people. It?s just that I crave pizza at 11 pm on Saturday nights and on noon on Sundays.

Besides pizza, they have a full menu (none of which I?ve tasted) consisting of calzones, stromboli, specialty pizza, subs (hot and cold), chicken wings & tenders, fried shrimp, all sorts of fried goodies (steak fries, western fries, onion rings, garlic knots, mozzarella sticks, broccoli & cheese bites), pasta dishes galore (pretty much everything an Italian restaurant would have), salads and a limited baked dessert menu. They do catering, dine in (at hard plastic booths?this is not fine dining), or take out. I love my five-star French restaurants, but I am definitely going back to Frank?s when I want pizza that tastes like home. Now if I can only find a bagel place?

Pros: easy parking, the only place I've found real NYC style pizza in B'more in 4 yrs, mid-day lunch special, sell pizza by the slice or the pie

Cons: far from most things, not open late Sat nite or at all on Sundays
