Reggies Sportz Kafe

★★☆☆☆
The sports component is low-key and the warm, comfortable place attracts a more "laid-back crowd" for live jazz and blues and southern-style cooking.

I read the review from Tonya H. and had to agree that the restaurant has so much potential but the service and menu will guarantee that I will NEVER return. Professional friends recommended it to me so I expected the best. I was surprised at the $10 cover charge (because of the band), the menu was very undesirable and filled with type-o's. I was served an $8 drink in a tiny juice glass that was dirty. When I pointed out my disappointment the manager (Michael Anderson) he had a VERY bad attitude, offered no apologetic free or replacement drink or appetizers. Plea to owner: Train your staff ! !

Reggie's used to be nicer w/ a professional after work crowd during happy hour and on certain nights w/ jazz bands. It's a place that really fails to live up to its potential. It's a restaurant/bar in a location where there is very little competition & an affluent population. Yet, Reggie's has begun to play more go-go music, which is drawing a much younger crowd & driving away its professional crowd. Another problem w/ Reggie's is that you never know when it will be open. Some Fridays it's open for happy hour, other weeks the doors are closed w/ no explanation. Some of the food, such as the crab cakes & macaroni, is very good, but the service can be horrible on some nights - extremely slow & inattentive. Hopefully, they will improve & start operating more like a business.

PROS: Nice Location If You Live Nearby
CONS: Go-Go Music, Sporadic Schedule
