.

I boarded 2 of my dogs during the summer . I left a typed page of instructions and info about my dogs including that my dogs are intact ( they are show dogs ) . When I picked up my dogs and got them home I noticed my female was in heat - she had actually been in heat for at least 6 days . I called them and told them she was in heat and the kennel staff said they never noticed that she was in heat or that there was any blood in her kennel . The result of this kennels not noticing was a litter of puppies born . I contacted the kennel and they told me it was my fault for having the dogs boarded together . They accept no responsibility what-so-ever.

In the end they did offer me a $100 gift certificate ( which I never received) .

I had over $1200 in medical costs , not to mention the time it takes to care for a litter and find them good homes and had to spay my female ( which ended her showing career) because of a needed surgery to deliver the puppies all because of this kennels incompetence.

I do not understand a kennel staff who works with dogs and should know about dogs can not notice when a dog is in heat or the fact that these dogs had bred .
It makes me wonder about how much attention the dogs actually receive .
