I amended the review below after speaking with Karen at Heritage....evidently, GMAC initially disapproved my loan application because I had a fraud alert on my report...even though I spoke with them weeks ago and they did fund the loan, they sent me a letter saying it was denied, ruined my weekend, drove me crazy until I was able to speak with Heritage today. So Heritage did not, in fact, screw up, and I apologize for thinking they were pulling something to try to get me to resign at a higher rate of interest...my bad. My distrust of car dealers in general is showing, I guess.

**I bought a new Liberty from Heritage on 8/17/09, got a good, not fabulous price on the car, and all-in-all, I was reasonably satisfied until yesterday. Jeep was running a $3,000 rebate OR 0% financing for 60 mos deal. I'd bought my previous Jeep for 0% via Chrysler and it's the way to go. I opted for this incentive, never anticipated a problem because I'd pulled my own credit score about 10 days prior and it was 794. Did the deal, even spoke with a guy at GMAC, the financing company to assume the loan, who needed permission to pull my credit because I have an lock on it, and at the end of the conversation, he said "Okay, great, I can go ahead and approve this now." Signed the papers, drove the car home. 3 weeks later, I get a letter saying GMAC didn't approve the loan. Huh? No explanation, just not approved. If I can't get it with a 794, who the heck can? Sounds kind of bait-and-switchy...and why didn't the dealership know that before I drove away?? I didn't pick the car up til the next day...they had plenty of time to verify approval...and why on earth would it take 3 WEEKS to notify me, and why didn't the dealership contact me? So now I'm left with a car I have no way to pay for...and guess what? Heritage is getting it back. I'm not redoing the contract at a higher interest rate...I might have, if they'd contacted my before the alternative incentive, the $3,000 rebate, expired on 8/31, but it's too late now, so I'll be stuck with both a higher rate and no rebate. Luckily, I kept my old car and so I'm not in a bind, but what a pain in the ass. I think Heritage REALLY dropped the ball on this one, they had an obligation and plenty of opportunity to verify approval before I drove off that lot and it I wasn't going to get the 0%, they should've given me the rebate instead. Let 'em resell a "new" car with 1,000 miles on it, and I'll take my 793 to Ford. I would advise anybody looking to take advantage of "special financing" incentives to get their approval in writing before you leave the lot.

Ratings_icons Jeep Dealership...What a great car buying experience!

Valerie H.

I have to say that I was extremely impressed by the professional and welcoming atmosphere at the MileOne Heritage Chrysler Jeep dealership. The employees treated me with respect and dignity the entire time I was there. From my salesman to the general store manager, I experienced an honest and upfront approach. They were fair, reasonable, and knowledgeable. I did not feel as if any employee I encountered was trying to "get one over on me" but instead I felt that they treated me like a member of their family. They were able to answer any and all questions I had about various vehicles and patiently endured my questions. After deciding on a vehicle, my experience in the finance office was just as pleasurable. The finance manager made me feel comfortable and at home. She was extremely knowledgeable and clearly explained all of my options. She helped me consider and weigh my options in order to make the best decisions for me. Overall, this experience was enjoyable and I will definitely return to this dealership for

Ratings_icons Repost to Rip Off from Joann H.

Today I had the pleasure of speaking to Heritage Honda's GM "Mr. Star". I must say that I was quite impressed with him. After stating all my concerns and problems I found he was not only concerned but he was a nice a very nice man to speak to. I wish I would have had the honor of speaking to him before I had to write my post. I was really disgusted and thought they just didn't care about what happened. However, this is not the case. Mr. Star takes his dealership very serious and maintains the dealerships highest standards and good name with satisfaction for the customer. He was not happy to read that I felt the way I did and has assured me that he will try to fix some of the problems I encountered. I can't tell you how much it meant to speak to him and have him speak honestly to me. I never thought that anyone would read my thread much less care what I felt but they do. When I posted "RIP OFF" I didn't think they would even care much less read it and it really feels good to know that this dealership takes t

At this point in my life I have purchased 6 new vehicles and one nearly new. These have included GM, Dodge, Vovlo, Isuzu, VW and Jeep. I always hate the whole thing.Well in 2005 we purchased a Diesel Jetta from Heritage on Harford. Did not get a particularly fantastic deal, but we got what we expected and Don (our service contact) has been excellent (we had an accident this last summer and agreed to rebuild the car rather than total it $17K worth of work,. As you can expect, there were a couple gremlins and Don showed his mettle.)We actually have need for a 4wd with creeper gear, and the Jeep Liberty is one of 3 with real 4wd under $30K..Initially, we met with Larry Gable to discuss a 2007. He gave us some very good offers but suggested we look at what is new in the 2008. After a couple weeks we went back. I had also done some internet quotes on a 2008 Sport Manual with the popular options group. Over the phone, Mr. Gable treated me like an intelligent person. Within an hour he located the vehicle, gave me a

I asked the salespeople for recommendations for my budget, and they really worked to help me out. They even said they could find me a car even if it was not on the lot. I really appreciated that they went out of their way. A lot of the managers have been at this dealership or in the car business for many years, and the experience really shows.

I recently purchased a car from MileOne and had a wonderful experience. Everyone I came in contact with, from salespeople to finance, were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I got an incredible price on my car and didn't feel rushed or pressured to make a decision. I would definitely recommend this dealership and I would buy from them again!

I had a decent experience at Heritage Chrysler. I was slightly annoyed that the salesman kep asking me "are you SURE you have good credit" prior to pulling my credit. Yes, I'm sure. Just because I was 21 didn't mean I would have bad credit. But overall, I got a good price on the car, I was treated with courtesy, and I was satisfied with my experience. They've since expanded the dealership and it looks quite nice.
