I lived at the club for a year and enjoyed my apartment overall. What I especially liked was our big living area, the very close proximity to campus (about 10 or 20 minute walk depending what building you want to go to), and the bus that came right out front of the building. I also liked that the club had central management (unlike Parkside), so I knew exactly who to contact if I had an issue. I also enjoyed the fitness room a lot because it was so close! I didn't have to go all the way to the ERC. My main complaint is the noise on the weekends from parties. The main way I dealt with this was through using white noise or contacting the security officer to quiet down the party. Overall, I would live here again with my friends.

I lived at the club for a year and would highly discourage people from doing the same. The staff completely lack integrity. The price of housing is low for college apartment, but there are many, many hidden fees that you will not be told about up front. I would advice renters to read the lease IN DETAIL, and think of as many questions as you can. For example, you pay the utility bills of the entire complex, not just the energy you consume in your own unit. Parking is $50 per month, but you are required to pay a month in advance of moving into your apartment. When moving out, you are required to pay for professional cleaning regardless of how well you tidy up, so you might as well give up the effort. Getting your full deposit back will be very difficult.

The maintenance is also poor. The air conditioning was not turned on this year until the end of May, so there were weeks where the temperature did not fall below 80 degrees in the room, often rising to 90. I inquired 3 times when it would be turned on, and every time I was lied to and told the date would be within the next week or so. The vagueness is a common thing. During the semester the partying gets to be very loud on weekends. Several times fights have broken out on the parking lot outside and police were called.

All in all be wary of this place. There is a reason they were forced to lower rent this year to about 80% of what the previous year tenants were paying. They started out by increasing the rent, but many people (I know over half my floor) moved out and starting in July they started advertising lower rents. Goes to show many people did not have good experiences living here.

The one star that I am giving this place is for the location. It is a walkable distance from the College Park campus and the bus stops directly in front of it.

However, it is not very clean. The surfaces in the elevator seem to not have been scrubbed since the first time I arrived here, last fall. The only cleaning they do is picking up the magazines that are thrown on the ground of the elevator once in a while.

Also, there are parties held every weekend. Not to mention, the weekend seems to begin on Wednesday nights and end on Sunday nights. There are some people trying to sleep or study, but it is hard to fall asleep or focus when there are people yelling and screaming and the bass is booming, even when the room happens to be a whole hallway down, and couple floors above.

The management is terrible; TERRIBLE! If you have an issue with your apartment room, be ready to have the issue NOT solved, until your tenth visit to the management office. Also, the managers of the building are lazy and NOT friendly. (Do not be deceived by the first time they greet you with their smile; they are just trying to lure your wallet in). They may write down the things that you suggest, but usually do not. The things that they DO write down are probably not second-looked at, because they still do not do what you ask them to do until the tenth time you ask.

I would NOT recommend living here, unless you are willing to put up with dirtiness, late night (i am talking until 2 or 3 in the morning) loud partying, and very lazy management.

NOT worth the rent.
