We live in one of the Southern Management communities (Powder Mill Village) and my husband used to live in a different SM community. We have had a great experience with them. Their service is fast and the people are very friendly. Our apartment was in top condition when we moved in, in fact, the carpets were still damp from being steam-cleaned. Any maintenence issues are taken care of the day you call. We have no problems with pests. Our complex is safe and relatively quiet (a bit louder on weekends but still very tolerable). Biggest bonus--discounts on rent for teachers, UM students, and police officers! Also, some communities have utilities included in the rent!
