My husband and I happened to be in the area and went in this Verizon location to see if they could help with a few items on our cell phones. They took care of that and then we asked about tablets. (We live 50 miles away from here)\r

My experience at this store was horrible. Two employees, one of which was a female by the name of Debora, was extremely unprofessional and made reference to the possibility of me stealing my broken cell phone when I took the phone to another area of the store where I was waiting for a manager. I had asked to do this so I could retrieve information from the phone which was non-transferable. I was told that if I attempted to leave the store with both phones, she would cut my service off, again this being a reference to me wanting to steal an inoperable, damaged phone. Give me a break! I was told to hurry up when I first arrived because I was "holding up the line and other people were waiting." This occurred while I was attempting to delete photo's due to the minimum number of pics that can be transferred between phones. Keep in mind, other clients were being helped, I was asked to step to the side while completing my deletions. When the manager, Dante, was contacted by Verizon Wireless by phone, he refused to address my issue, which was that information was deleted from my phone upon replacement, after being told the information would NOT be lost, and for replacing my phone with a refurbished model that was nicked and contained "funk" in the area where the phone folds closed. After refusing all recommendations made by the Verizon representative, Dante left without asking ME what the problem was or if he could be of further assistance, and without acknowledging to me, the customer, that there was a problem. Two employees who he oversees were rude and nasty, yet when that was brought to his attention, he whispered to the one employee and then never addressed the problem to me as a problem. Understand, through all this I was respectful and cordial to ALL the staff. I would NOT recommend making purchases or seeking technical support at this location. The staff, for the most part, are ignorant and unprofessional. I'm canceling my contract and paying the fee, it's worth it - I'd suggest if you've had similar problems with Verizon Wireless to do the same.

I came to the York Rd store location on Friday 1/30/09 to purchase a new phone. The floor person was excellent and made a recommendation on which phone to purchase based on my needs. I thanked the floor person and waited for a sales person to call my name. There was only one person ahead of me. I waited over 20 minutes and no names were called for the sales function. I approached the store manager Chris Holder and he was rude and denied the fact that I had been waiting for over 20 minutes to receive service and purchase a phone and that no names had been called from the sales waiting list. I waited an additional 15 minutes and still no names were called. I approached Chris Holder again and asked for his full name and again he was frustrated and rude. At this point I gave up and decided to take my business to Cingular. I do not understand why it would take over 35 minutes to begin the process of purchasing a phone at this location when the store appeared to be fully staffed with sales representatives. Chris Holder is running a very inefficient operation and is rude to customers. Your loss of sales is Cingular's gain. A very disappointing experience. Please address your management and operations. I was not the only customer who was disappointed on 1/30/09 at the Timonium store location.
