It's funny how the only reviews are from people who don't see whales. I recently went on a whale watch with Odyssey Whale Watch, and certainely had a "whale of a time". There were lots of whales, as well as different birds and a really neat ocean sunfish. The crew was helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable. Definitely recommended.

Was very excited to take our three young children to see whales and other wildlife in the ocean-the only thing we saw were birds.....Spent nearly $200 for our family to birdwatch for 4 hours. We were all very disappointed-they did not offer a refund, or another cruise to whale watch. They said they see whales 95% of the time..I am very skeptical of this number as the crew did not seem surprised that there were not any whales seen.
The crew was friendly but I would not recommend this cruise for anyone unless you want to see birds....
I want to give it zero stars.....

Pros: we saw the port and heard about the history-

Cons: Did not see any whales-the only wildlife we saw was birds

It cost nearly $190 for our family of four to spend a mid-July day out on the ledges looking for whales and porpoises which failed to appear. At least we got to see a number of pelagic birds and the occasional dabblings of tuna feeding at the surface, but on the whole it was a tremendous waste of time and money. You're probably better off going in August. (A movie filmed on nearby Cliff Island was called "The Whales of August", not "The Whales of July".) After getting skunked, I thought they might offer us some kind of credit towards another excursion, but all we got from the captain over the loudspeaker was, "Sorry folks, don't forget to tip your deck hands as you disembark". My best advice would be to not go on the Odyssey, but make the drive to Gloucester, MA, and go on a whale watch with Cape Ann Whale Watch; they guarantee you will have whale sightings or you get a free season pass. My wife and I saw dozens of whales when we went there a number of years ago.

Pros: A Few Birds and Tunafish

Cons: No Whales!, Not Even Porpoises!

I took a whale watching tour with this establishement and it was a very exciting experience. Before this cruise I had never ever seen a real live whale. I was one of the lucky ones because I didn't get sea sick.. Alot did for some reason! Well anyhow I recommend this to all and it won't drain your bank account.. I think it was very reasonable priced for what you saw...

I took a whale watching tour with a group of friends on the Casablanca Cruise lines. It was an all day affair. I had never been whale watching before. Obviously some people on board had never been on a boat, as many were seasick. The crew did their best to take care of those who where not feeling up to par. The captain was great at pointing out the small whales and local sites. I highly recommend a tour on Casablanca Cruises!
