4 Stars: Delicious calamari! (by Suzi S.)

I've been going to the Sea Dog for a few years now, off and on. One of the things that they do superlatively and consistently is to make the best calamari. I've had bad calamari before but theirs is always tender, never rubbery. Their ales are great, too!

2 Stars: Would reccomend a river boat onion (by rebecca c.)

I always thought the food was mediocre aside from the river boat onion. I usually went and nibbled off other peoples plates and had a salad and soup. That was until I had a live praying mantis in my salad. Now those are the things that make a restaurant memorable. And they left the salad on the bill.

4 Stars: Great Food @ Affordable Prices! (by Jamie G.)

Sea Dog is located right on the river with great views of the rapids! This restaurant has some of the best chicken fingers this side of the Androscoggin! The restaurant itself offers a large dining area with deck seats in the Spring, Summer and Fall.

With competent, friendly staff and great atmosphere, Sea Dog is one of the best places to visit for lunch or dinner or drinks on a Saturday night. They also often have live entertainment on the weekends.

PROS: Affordable, Clean, Great Atmosphere, Live Music
CONS: None

3 Stars: Good Food (by TIFFANY R.)

Sea Dog Brewing Company has a great restaurant. Food was great but service was terrible. It wasn't even a weekend. Prices are a little high but worth it for the food.
THere Lobster Roll is really good and also trying a sample try of beer. They brew great beer.

3 Stars: Excellent Ambiance, Average Food, Great Chowder (by Paulla E.)

Sea Dog is set in an old mill overlooking the Androscoggin river. The high, dark beamed ceilings, wood paneling, photos of days gone by, and covered patio over the rushing river, make for a cozy, romantic evening or fun-filled party place. The bar is fun, the service great, but the food is average. Typical chain restaurant food that is ok, but visitors usually go away wishing they'd ordered something better. The clam chowder, however, is heavenly.

PROS: Ambiance, Chowder, Service
CONS: Average Food, pretty good, but not great.
