We scoured the internet searching for a feminine classic engagement ring without prongs (hard to find). Most online companies advertising rings that are sturdy and safe for everyday wear display jewelry that looks clunky, sporty or common. So we were thrilled to find Cross Jewelers elegant "active wear" settings. The gentleman who worked with us was extremely helpful and took the time to teach us about stones so we would know how to proceed. (Ultimately chose sapphire rather than diamond) They sent the ring to Del Mar for inspection in a lovely wrapped box with satin bow, we returned it for sizing a few days later, and got the ring back in about a week. Cross Jeweler's keeps me coming back for more. When my now husband and I were getting engaged, I fell in love with the "Victory Ring" that I saw in a local newspaper. I knew I had to have it. I went in a little weary knowing I didn't have tons of money to spend. The staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable. They treated me like I had millions to spend in their store. I was able to get the "Victory Ring" at a price I could afford and I went back and got the matching wedding band and a very unique band for my groom. The quality of their jewelry is superb. For my first wedding anniversary, we went back and had my great grandmother's diamond reset into the "forget me not" ring. I had gone to other jewelry stores and discussed having a diamond reset but all their settings were "generic" looking. And to tell you the truth, I wouldn't have trusted any other jeweler with my grandmother's diamond but Cross! Since than, I have purchased gorgeous diamond earrings and amethyst earrings. Cross Jeweler's is my #1 jeweler and I would recommend to anyone in the Portland area to stop in and experience it for yourself. I have ALWAYS had EXCEPTIONAL customer service and have been treated like royalty while in the store. Quality and uniqueness in their jewelry and friendly-knowledgeable staff keep me coming back!

I received the knitter's ring for XMas from my husband, which I cannot yet wear after two months. My husband was discouraged from buying the correct size when he bought it in what can only be described as a condescending belief that a man wouldn't know what he is talking about when it comes to ring sizes. He took it back recently to have it sized down, bringing with him my wedding ring for them to measure the correct size. They again tried to discourage him from having it made the size I requested. The person was unpleasant and once again, condescendingly refusing to believe that the size I wanted would be correct. My husband insisted and finally the salesperson relented to have it made the size we wanted, so we thought. He brought it home today and once again, it is too big. It is clearly not the same size as my wedding ring even just looking at it. I am very discouraged that what was supposed to be a special gift has become such a costly mistake! I would like to return it altogether but my husband feels that he did something special for me and it should be made right.
