Its a nice atmosphere and they easily accomodate you no matter how big your party is. The servers are really friendly and attentive, unfortunately the cooks are slow. There is a huge quality and taste variation among the cooks and it can either be rave worthy or inedible. The most recent time the fish portions were less than 4 ounces and the skin could not be seperated from the meat.

PROS: nice decor
CONS:

When I was a teenager in Maine, before I moved to more gastronimically-favorable locales, I loved The Unicorn. I'm a little disappointed with it now, however. They tend to overdo it on their flavors--subtlety can be a good thing, folks--and their prices really don't reflect the quality of the food (ie--you're overpriced). The service is also very very slow, although usually very friendly. On the plus side, it's still pretty good eats for around here, and lunches tend to be a safer bet in terms of food quality.

PROS: OK food, nice atmosphere
CONS: Too pricy for what it is, sloooow service, food can be mediocre
