My friends and I recently went to a movie opening, we arrived early to make sure we could get good seats which meant a lengthy wait in line. After being there for more than an hour along with many others it finally got close to start time, people started filing in and cutting or just creating a second line all together. I witnessed one person voice his concerns to someone from management and her reply? "Everyone will get a seat, it doesn't make any difference", I'm sorry, but to the people that have been waiting for such a long time...it DOES make a difference. To see that management doesn't give a crap about customers that were clearly there first, makes me not want to go back!

I stopped going to the Bangor cinema many moths ago. The ticket prices keep going up and only certain types of movies make it to the Stadium seating. I'm tired of seeing military propaganda ever time I go there. Billboards in front of the bathrooms and always something on the screen. I understand the need for revenue and advertising for local businesses is fine, but the other things being shown should not be shoved down the public's throat when your out for entertainment. I go to Spotlight in Orono. Plus you can see movies in 3D when they are advertised as such.

to save a shortsighted dollar, this theater has done away with its mid day showtimes. this is extremely inconvenient for its longtime movie buff patrons, and new management laughs at their concerns. coupled with inedible, overpriced food and drink, this theater has become a last resort for the movie-going public. voice your concerns each time you MUST go there, and watch the reactions. usually means the management will be short-lived.

This cinema has high prices for tickets and food, but has recently added stadium seating, and has many movies to choose from unlike others in the area. If going to see a movie, I recomend going here instead of others.

Way too expensive! For a family of four it cost of over $50!! That is just the tickets, popcorn, sodas and candy for each kid.
This theater has been bought out three times in the last two years. They have done some renovations, but the place always seems dirty. The bathrooms are disgusting.
I do like that they seat inserts available for little kids so that they can see over people heads.
The seats are a little stiff, but are better than before when you slumped down and couldn't see over the persons head in front of you.
Each seat has a very large cup hold that can fit the bucket size soft drink they offer for $5!
You can get coffee drinks which is exciting in the winter and also baked goods such as cookies and brownies (they are not cheap, but pretty good).
All the theaters have Digital Surround Sound and can almost blast out your ears. If you are watching a nice romantic movie and the theater next door is a blow them up kind of movie you can hear their movie as well as yours.
This is basically the only theater in town so you have to get there early (first week of a new movie) to get good seating or you will be stuck in the front row with all the teenagers.
My opinion is to wait until the movie comes out on DVD and rent it in the privacy of your own clean, comfortable and well stocked frig home.

PROS: Conveniently located to Mall/Highway, has booster chairs for kids
CONS: Expensive (tickets AND food), no lockers, no discount tickets

They do offer new releases which is great and if like Star Wars comes to town my dh pays the extra bucks to go and see it on a widescreen, however their ticket prices are very very high...and if you have big family like mine going to th emovies here is almost impossible..
