Bread & Roses Bakery

Everything here is flat and tasteless, almost as though they've left out the salt or some other key ingredient. The items show well in the cases, but the fact is they have no taste and are often stale. Their brownies are the worst I've had anywhere and the cookies,which are too big and too expensive, tend to be uncooked in the center and burned (burnt?) on the edges. Anytime I've ever been here, the selection of bread has been a choice of two or three types, rather odd given their name. From what I'm told, I guess this place has a troubled history, moving from one spot to another and the help changes faster than the baked goods in the case. Oh, If you're looking for a fresh cup of coffee, you won't find it here . . . the brew is bitter, with a burned after-taste that is most annoying.

I love this bakery, they have the freshest pastry,and coffee and the service is unbeatable. It is family owned and run.The cases are full of yummy pastry and I have to say it is difficult to decide what to purchase. Everything is great, but I would recommend the raspberry oaties.
