Black Shark Tropical Fish

Wonderful store . my daughter insisted on getting fish . I figured we would spend all kinds of money ,and end up flushing the whole works down the toilet . He spent lots of time with her instructing on how to care for the fish ,test the water ,and how much to feed them . she has had them for two years now ,and they are doing great.

Dont be fooled, by the black shark will tell you how bad every other pet store is BUT i buy from all over, and his fish are the only ones that i have problems with. they die just a few days later after buying. The man, will sure try to tell you that every place else has bad and sick fish, and that they are over priced. well ive seen some of the items he sells, for sale at places like petland and petco, and they are 3-4 dollars less. As far as variety goes, he does have a ton of tanks with alot of fish, but he doesnt sell fish like mollies, or platys, common popular fish that are hardy. His fish, do look good, but after buying them, it wont be long before they die. And if you tell him your problems... he will sure tell you that YOU did something wrong. no matter how long you have been taking care of fish.

I can honestly say black shark is the best fish store ever very healthy fish always guarantees his fish tells u every thing about the fish before u buy him i don't care what anyone says about the black shark because i know that there ain't no better fish shop in Maine.

the black shark is mostly a tropical fish shop with over 40 years of experience and 120 tanks and there setting up about 65 more tanks they specialize in hard to find tropical fish and Africans it is mostly a hobbyist shop with the best selection in Maine they keep all new tropical fish for a week before selling there fish!!!! ANYONE ELSE DO THIS????

I don't even think these people sell animals anymore but when they did we kept getting sick birds because we bought 2 of them from THE BLACK SHARK and they both died from 3 months after purchasing them. Something was really wong with them, they wouldn't give us a refund for the dead bird either.
