.

You can go back in time to 1754 to this National Landmark Fort it is the oldest surviving wooden fort in America. When you get near the smaller bridge in city of Augusta. It sits over looking the Kennebec River and is in on the property of the City Hall. They are open for walk-ins from Memorial Day to Labor Day and on certain dates after that. It is very educational. A lot of schools bring their classes here to experince a day in 1754. I still find it a wonderful place to visit.
